Been a while since someone has blamed the fans for our predicament.
Any other club you can think of where 19K regularly turn up to make sure their team is unsuccessful?

burton are top theyve murdered no one
are you joking
I was responding to posts on here disgusted we arent beating these teams out of sight
Burton are top, that's the point.
Sitting outside the play offs in the Championship would be acceptable. 7th or 8th in Division 3 is shite. When did sitting outside the play-offs in league one become acceptable?

What would be easier though; upgrade when we've just gone up, can attract a better quality of player and have just weighed in an extra £5m in TV money or upgrade as a L1 club?you can tell me to off if you like, but is it wrong to say that i wouldnt want us to go up this season because without a major defensive upgrade, we will end up in relegation fight & most likely back at square 1 back in league 1 with a different manager
it's because their players expect to win playoffs, expect to score late winners and win penalty shoot outs.
Some of our players throw in the towel when ever we face a challenge.

It's difficult to tell though whether the idea of bringing in players from a higher league is wrong per se or if it was the actual players that were the wrong ones.and this is a problem Adkins will have in the Summer. If we don't go up, does he go for players to get us out of this division or try and build a 'Chumpionship ready' team as Clough tried to do because unless we've just been unlucky with our recent signings, bringing in out of favour players from higher leagues hasn't worked.

In Clough's defence, he also signed some 'hungry young players' in Scougall, McNulty, Magahey, Wallace, Adams, but most haven't worked out.
So I don't know what the answer is. I hope Adkins does though.
I have to admit that was my first thought when I looked at this thread. A popular 'well-liked' post taking the piss out of those unhappy about being outside the play offs in the third division just acts as a symbol for the some of the basement level expectations elements of our fan base seem to have developed whilst we've been down here. When did sitting outside the play-offs in league one become acceptable?
