You're a real fan boy Brownie.

I'd barely recognise any of our players from the last 20 years unless they were in full kit complete with name on back, or had a personalised number when cutting me up at high speed.

Having said that I did see Harry Maguire in Morrisons at Halfway a couple of weeks back (mainly because his girlfriend was shouting "Harry, Harry" from 3 aisles away)..

1142 hrs. Carl Asaba is currently stood a couple of yards away from me at Chesterfield station

I met Carl Asaba by total fluk just outside Nottingham Trent's Library and he was having a coffee with a mate. I was a student at the time and I think he was still playing for us then or maybe he hadn't long gone, and I actually had my United shirt on, so he we clocked each other and had a brief chat. Seemed a really decent guy. Saw Tony Agana by fluke recently and another total gent.

... whose name was?? ;)

I was walking back home from town once and I saw Deano running along Hill St. No idea where he was going but he was running fast!

Used to see quite a few blades players when I worked at Sainsburys at Millhouses in the 90's, Gayle, Hoyland, Pemberton and Littlejohn spring to mind as well as a few pigs including Waddle.

I also saw Glyn Hodges not long after he scored that lovely chip against Schmeichel in the cup and decided to tell him how much I enjoyed it. He just mumbled something and carried on with his shopping but that was ok and I thought he was just shy. Told one of the lads in the back that he was in and he came to see and told me it wasn't Hodges at all!!

:tumbleweed:

Embarrassing!

I was once stood behind saabs in the queue at broomhill tsb
Once saw him nearly take a bouncers head off with a right hook outside that bar at the top of division st

Saw Del Geary getting out of his Land Rover on Eccy Road a few years ago when he was still playing for us. He looked ridiculous getting out of such a huge car. Plus he got out into traffic and I came close to running him over which wouldn't have gone down well.

Coincidentally, I saw him again in the Costa in Hillsborough on Tuesday morning while I was waiting for a tram. I only noticed the outfit - a full Blades adidas training tracksuit - first thinking "By christ he's brave" before I twigged who it was. If it wasn't him then it was the spitting image of him.

Saw my hero Dane Whitehouse in the Bramall Lane car park before the Millwall match. I wanted to ask him for a picture but I bottled it. Plus I didn't want to be an annoying twat.

I was shocked at how short he is.

I saw Georges Santos in the high street in Ipswich once. He clocked me and I clocked him and I went 'Santos!' (a little too loud) in the Loftus Rd massive manner. He smiled and must have known I wasn't a Ipshit fan. Santos was about 9ft 15 3/4" tall.

Musical Blade and I also saw Keith Curle's cock whilst stood in the dressing room at BDTBL, post a game in 2000 or 2001 which NW had kindly invited me to. He (Musical, not Warnock) said, "That's Keith Curle ... and that's Keith Curle's cock."
I said, "I know."

The end.

I saw George Santos a few days before Christmas in Manor Top Asda, and I can verify that he is a giant. I'd guess that he is 6' 4"-6' 5". I stopped and said hello and had a bit of chit chat with him, a nice bloke.

Dave Bassett power walking in Dore with a full Umbro shellsuit. Also Wayne Quinn and Curtis W pissed in Woodseats. Heroes the lot of them

I played football with Tony Currie in endcliffe park summer 73
He was dead cool and my dad was absolutely chuffed to bits

Talked to Chris Kamara for a few minutes in a gym I used to go to in Bradford where they let the Bantams use the facilities for nowt. Came across as a good guy really easy to talk to. It was when he was playing for them before he was their manager. Lennie Lawrence, who was their manager at the time, was also there and strutted round like he was a bit up himself.
