Not read the thread yet but strongly disagree with the title and the OP.
Adkins has gone about it exactly the right way imo: he's assessed the squad in training, pre-season, and now in two(!)competitive games.
As plenty of people have pointed out you learn a lot more from your losses and last Satdi was probably a real education. This goes for Tuesday as well where apparently there was room for improvement.
We do seem to have a bloated squad in numbers if not physique
Adkins has addressed this too, saying players will begin to find out who's being included and who isn't.
We are a work in progress adapting to a new system -especially 4 instead of 5 in midfield.
I think Adkins is the best manager to get us up, keep us up, and keep us moving forwards.
