btw i left it unchanged as i thought it would make a few laugh ;)

Over two seasons it's got to close or you would've been mid-table

You obviously haven't seen much of us last season we can count good displays on the fingers of one hand, says it all when the cleaners went round the stands after the games waking people up to go home.

Sorry Boss, busy in the Prem ;):) Merely asking why 2 managers who both got into the play-offs were sacked

And do you think you've got satisfactory answers?

Yeah actually I have, I read the other thread, The Club should support the managers instead of imploding on the cusp. You're not league 1 club

Let's see how supportive you are of Pulis next season when you're sat 17th playing 11 men in your own half ;)

Yes we are, and on merit.

You know what I mean't:) You Should be it the Championship

Same Pulis who's never been relegated, had 14 clean sheets, beat both Man Utd and Chelsea, That Pulis? Pretty it's not effective it is:D

Ahh, but you fail to note, the last time we gave someone a full third season they improved ten fold, reached a play-off final and two cup semi's. He then got another 3 seasons and we ended up in the Prem.
We don't want that sort of shit when we can have a "next manager lottery" every summer. Lots more fun.

I doubt there would be much patience knocking around among WBA fans if you were preparing for your FIFTH season in a row in division 3....

At least you can laugh mate :)

That's why I didn't at first understand the sackings. It appeared you were punishing success I've read around now

On the basis of seasons in the top flight we should be there, not the championship.. (we lie 18th in the standings of top-flight-seasons of all clubs).... which is one of the factor's behind the lack of patience, and the hair-trigger of the board..... unless you're under 35, being in the top tier was always the norm for United, and we're all desperate to return.

Unfortunately, we've spent most of the time since the mid 70s failing to understand what it really takes to get back and stay in the top-flight. There are many factors behind it all, including longer periods than most clubs on our knees financially, and it's resulted in us now being where we are (and deserve to be).... and which is why it's now the norm for supporters of similar clubs to perceive us as they do...lower league fodder, cos that's what we are.

This may upset you but we owe success to 3 men from Sheffield. Paul Thompson Chairman before Peace and both Don and Gary Megson (The upsetting part) They gave us the base that Peace and Ashworth built on

Well said Baggie, I'd love Pulis at The Lane

:) If they've done it for you guys, it means they aren't doing it for the great unwashed!..... so we can bear that with grace here I'm sure!

Aye, who needs the successful Tony Pulis when you support third division Sheffield United. Wibble.

UTB

Jeez you lot, did you not see the ;)

For the record, if we were in constant relegation battles in the Prem you'd all be moaning like buggery week in week out :)

So by that analogy, we'd have another epic failure next year and another 4 seasons in League One?

60 percent win ratio equates to around ten wins which is 30 points which would have been auto i reckon (without looking btw).. thanks for your interest ;)
