Clough must go now

3 wins since October is it? Crikey that's poor but I'm not going to say get shot of Clough - that would be lunacy.
.

I am not saying I am calling for him to go but I wonder if Wednesday thought that when they replaced Megson?

I personally think he has done enough to see this season out, however if we don't get in the play offs, he should fall on his sword. The music has stopped and we are out of both in a week and the place goes flat. He was brought in to get us promoted so I wish he would just get on with the job.

In training we need to go back to basics, because we can't get anything right. 2 wins in 10 league games is us going the wrong way and Clough has to take the blame for that

Negative football home and away all season is no good. We should be going to teams and taking the game to them.

If we change now we might still have a chance of scraping in the play offs.

Clough said we had a run of games which were winnable , good start to that. We had the run in November & December were most of the games were at home, we managed to draw a few of them which is no good for promotion.

Change get rid of this clown

Embarrassing thread

Would next season be any different . I don't think so . Mr Clough has got to look at bringing Collins back . Also the older pros have to help the younger players , when they need help or advice on the field of play .Its shit or bust this season for us imo.

Individually we have good players , but as a team the players have to grow some balls , man up , and take responsibility for there on field decisions .

UTB
Collins and Butler would have been a good pairing at this level but someone's to stubborn to see it!

Hated treatment NC dished out to Collins, when asked what his reaction was when he was dropped he replied along the lines of DONT know we've not spoken, if he wants to talk he knows where my door is!

If you know where the door is Mr C use it cause this ain't working

We're a league club not a cup club.

Question is should he have been appointed in first place. Yes I think before I post I don't just follow us blindly down the leagues like some!

No one thinks today was good, no one thinks the Preston game was good. In fact I think back to the Crawly game and how awful we were and to be honest I don't see much development. What I do know is that sacking the manager really isn't the answer. I put most of this down to the eleven on the park. I can't talk for everyone but my biggest frustration is why can we do what we have done in the cups and yet away at Gillingham we are so god awful?

Getting rid of Clough is not the answer. He does need to pick a settled starting 11 and play them week in, week out tho. That is the only way we will start putting a run together and hopefully start getting positive results!
For whatever reason we haven't played the same 11 in two games on the trot this season

If I thought the board were going to give it to the end of the season and look at his position then I would not be so despondent and angry, the recent signings seem to indicate he has the full support for seasons to come.

Three more seasons on Clough's contact, three more seasons of this slow, one paced negative Shite with no chance of winning a promotion from the third tier is soul destroying

Don't think the crowd has ever felt confident with NC, never heard a song or give us a wave chant since he's been here.

Interesting comment but how do you get rid of shit players? You cancel contracts and that costs money. The good ones are easy to get out of the club, its the crap you can't offload.

Indeed fully agree,it is one aspect of management some folk forget, getting rid of players.
Anyone can sign any number of players, the sign of a good manager is one of who can also get rid of players, either on loan or transfer.

The real problems occur when the managers good signings haven't increased in value more than all the bad ones.
..
It'd be interesting to here Blades fans views on where they think NC is on that particular measurement?
More misses than hits? Up on his money or well down?

Well said! Would have doubled liked if it was possible!

Trouble is we've had our Crewe moment this season, it was called the lock-in at Port Vale and we know what happened next.

As they say at the end of a Unit trust brochure.

The problem is with Nigel he would be great for us in the championship getting us to a level where we can challenge for promotion to prem HOWEVER he is not the man to get us promotion and won't do unless in the playoffs.

Not saying Clough out but he needs to stop with this negative cancel them out approach they are not real madrid or spurs, have a go take the game to them make them panic that's what Swindon, Bristol City and franchise have been doing all season.

Why would he be good for us in the championship? He couldn't do it for Derby. They've not looked back since he left
