Have to say with 10 men, they did well to get back to 2 - 2 and I thought were unfortunate in the end, even though they were hanging on.
I’m not Cannon’s greatest fan, should have buried an easy header in the first half, but he scored, made some good runs and space. Ran himself into the ground tonight and fought their back four constantly.
I do think in comparison to Tyrese Campbell, Tom Cannon looks like Harry Kane.
I am completely baffled why Campbell had his contract renewed. He loses every single challenge against centre halves, doesn’t defend, doesn’t run, doesn’t offer any outlet to his defenders, basically offers nothing to the team.
And don’t get me started on Jordan Ayew - on an inflated wage - panic signing - Leicester reject (11 goals in 72 games) - when they’re in free fall and they don’t want to keep him in when they’re in League One!
And we send Louie Marsh to Chezzy?
Nothing wrong with a small busy fast forward, historically plenty of those who’ve caused defenders massive headaches over the years, but United are spunking money on Campbell and Ayew instead.
All I’m saying is I’m starting to warm to Cannon, because we have a lot worse forwards than him.

Agree. But he should go end of the season regardless if we stay up that I very much doubt. Derby Watford will be getting rid shortly and probably see better fortunes? Bit wilder has brought in to many journey men that the legs have gone. Oh and and a 10 million pound player that is clearly carrying that much weight in cash

Lets see at season end. This team have minimal bottle, are utterly inconsistent and defensively woeful, despite Phil Jones in a new coaching system and we have leadership problems off the field and in the dugout.

The owners we now have, appointed James Bord to play poker with us and appointed Selles, why would anyone think their next choice of manager would be any better.

yeah i noticed it last season. selles gets alot of stick deservedly because we shouldve conceded 5 a game under him. but the defensively we haven't improved that much & other teams being dreadful in front of goal & cooper saving us
