“What players are not playing for a reason”

What in gods name does that mean, you are the manager man, you signed the bulk of them they should all have a reason to play not a reason for you to think they should not .
I had doubts about the chest thumping buffoon before, they have just been reinforced. Get rid!

Confidence restored

so to conclude it’s the players fault for going off plan in the second half (there’s a plan?) and we were okay in the first half (is he drunk?)

And then had to get a few more digs in about the fans moaning about his signings and trying to justify Ayew and BBD.

Classic egotistical wilder interview. Fuck. Off.

"I ain't got no problem now. I know exactly what players to pick and what players are not playing for a reason."

Try coaching them you arrogant twat. It's your job to coach them but you're so obsessed with the result that you tinker with the line up and formation every game and can't register that this inconsistency causes inconsistency on the pitch.

If he hasn't lost the dressing room then he will with comments like that.

As per usual laps up the plaudits and takes all the credit when we win, and blames everyone else when we lose.

Classless, stubborn, arrogant knobhead.

I've had enough. Get rid of this washed out, burned up dinosaur.

He clearly tells them what's needed at half time and some do something different.

It's bizarre and it shows that some players don't listen to him at half time.

Why don't they listen to him before the game? Why does it always need a half time bollocking? What is it that he's not communicating to them or that they don't understand?

He always comes across as not very bright, mixed metaphors and is never very articulate. Even more so when he feels he's got his back to the wall.

The problem is, the club's that tend to get out of relegation scraps are those with a togetherness, a siege mentality, fighting for each other. I'd be amazed if he hasn't 'lost the dressing room' already.

Would you listen to him? He's telling you to do something that week in, week out isn't working

What's the definition of insanity again?

I sort of agree with this (I’m also usually right behind Wilder). The only mitigation I can give to him is that there are players that were just individually utterly awful tonight. Some of them need to take a long look at themselves.
Campbell is a particular worry… he looks utterly unco-ordinated at times and is incapable of any concerted effort.
Nobody took any responsibility tonight apart from Peck and one or two others late on. Individuals are letting Wilder and the club down.
Saturday now becomes absolutely vital. The response will tell us everything.
Campbell looks disinterested, unfit and absolutely bone idle. Yet the genius that is Chris Wilder gives him a 3 year Contract. What message does this give to other players who might be average but at least give 100 percent%? Is Campbell one of his favourites? He’s had them before., unable to give them a kick up the arse but instead picks on players who probably don’t answer him back. I’m so sick of the fucking Club, I’ve never been more apathetic than I feel now after 45 years watching them. For Gods sake Chris, go. Enough is enough.

I think you were suggesting that he didn’t want to win this one. In which case they definitely listened to him at half time.

Post 2376 10.03 above. Are you seriously suggesting he picked a team in the hope they’d lose?

What a combo. Owners who have fck all clue about owning a club plus a manager who is as stubborn as he is thick. Result: huge disconnect with the fans, increasing disillusionment, fck all identity.

Recently bought my lad his first kit. This is his first season. The bug just hasn't bitten. He hears me complaining and is concluding we're just a shit basket case of a club. And unluckily for him he's in a big owls area surrounded by piggy school mates all giddy on the latest hit of deludimol (and a FIL that would just love to take him to the sty). Fearing the worst.

I’m not saying I’m massively confident he’ll turn it round. I just don’t like the modern habit of sacking the manager this early in the season. It’s September and we’ve played about 10 games. I’d give him a bit more time to get it right.

He had 40 games last season and the performances were very similar. He just had better players last year.

What makes you think he has any chance of "getting it right"??

He picked a team with one eye on Stoke and admitted as much in the post match interview.
