I might be going against the grain here but I thought he spoke quite well.

As much as I’d have liked him to go into detail about the unpaid £35m, thats never going to happen with the ongoing legal issues.

Interesting news about new investment being secured, potentially exciting times on the horizon?
Shock, as venture capitalist who convinces people
to spend their money for a living speaks well and is convincing… 😉

From the local journos bitter & negative reactions ,
It seems that Rosen was correct in his decision to go public via YouTube ,
rather than via any of the piggy-favouring bunch.
That lot and the politicians (we all know who they are) couldn't wait to sing the praises of the filth across the city and help to produce a most unusual & fortunate outcome.
Whereas in our case - where the owners have done nothing to harm the club itself - they appear keen to stir up as much official trouble as possible.
The contrast in their attitude reeks of bias.
Goes all the way back to the putrid 'Save our Owls' campaign in the 70s.
Don't recall anything similar when we were dropping into the 4th Division.
What on earth is the reasoning behind this bias ?
Is it something along the lines of
"Be kind to the 30k hard of thinking , who still buy our puerile journalism" ?

Comes across well, though he'd have been better advised to do the interview with a local journalist or club channels. Presumably he wanted a soft interview with no uncomfortable questions. Keeps referring to us as 'Sheffield'. Didn't get pressed at all by the interviewer over the dodgy business restructure but it sounds like they have simply chosen not to pay PA his money so we can be competitive this season. Doubt his comment that "It's time to look to the future not the past" will appease PA. Convinced we won't get a points deduction but also openly admits he is not an expert on English football.

Also says he's a very private person and wishes that they would take that photo of the new owners greeting fans off the website.

And a moan about YouTube ads. Towards the end there was an ad every 90 sect. They are really taking the piss these days.

Danny Hall for one is a big Blade and certainly not 'pig favouring'. He'd have done a better job. As would Adam Oxley, and most Blades podcasters.

That right there is the nail on the head.

People on here can quite rightly question our owners but don't ever feel sympathy for the Halls and Staton's getting bent out of shape they didn't get asked to do the interview.

I am sure this same local press used to get moody about PA going on Sheff Utd Way and Talksport.

The likes of Biggs, Staton and even UK MP’s need to also be very careful in their public opinions. Rosen & Helmy will be well lawyered up before setting up 1919 & their dealings with Prince A. These guys aren’t successful millionaire businessmen in the US for no reason. They aren’t out to win a popularity contest, they are in it to make money. The EFL & Prince A may not like it - but I suspect they have found a loophole in the contract & have exploited it.

How do you know it’s flagrant corruption? Are you privy to the contract?
As I understand it in basic terms, £35 million is owed by the current owners' company to the previous owner and they have now closed/liquidated that company. This means that, as it is generally understood, nothing more has to be paid to the previous owner. Rosen states that the club (in his opinion) aren't now worth what he/they agreed to pay.

What would you call it, Good business?

Please feel free to correct me if anything I've stated seems incorrect.

The interview was just simply an exercise of kicking the can down the road, but what else can be expected whilst there is two legal issues/disputes currently ongoing with the
owners🤷‍♀️

They haven’t closed the previous company. United Worlds petition did that.

The whole legal shebang is more complicated than most of us can comprehend.

I think at this stage that it is "alleged" that the sum of £35m is owed. It would appear that the current owners agree that something is owed, but disputing that it is £35m, which is the sum being banded about by just one man?

Darren isn't thrilled with my quote there...

For reference, my bio says "guarantee I just tweet Garbage". Ruffled a few feathers I think 😬

Have the purchasing party said they’re not paying anything further? Do we know categorically that the contractual obligations weren’t capable of being assigned over to the new company, when the old company was liquidated? All we know is there’s a commercial dispute between two parties, unless I’ve missed something?

Fair enough but if the owners intended to pay the money owed as agreed I very much doubt the whole issue would have got this far and resulted in the reaction and statements being released by the previous owner.

Maybe, as others have pointed out, I don't have all the information and I'm being a little harsh but I also think that anyone of the opinion that everything the owners are doing is morally correct and proper is being very naive.

We'll see.

Was the "Cleveland Browns-style 'Dawg Pound" a clue from the owner - "Jimmy Haslam" worth £10.3b🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 (probably not!😩)

That is Andy Giddings' hacked account. The person who hacked it is seemingly copying and pasting tweets to it again today.

Andy's new account is @GidsComm

And he's done this piece reflecting on the podcast, for those interested: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p0p81psy
Listened to the podcast. Rosen for the first time has put information into the public domain. It may not address all the concerns but it is an improvement on the radio silence of before.

As others pointed out to you on X there are legal actions ongoing. Rosen simply can not answer the question "do you owe £35 million to PA" It is a matter in dispute between two separate parties. Rosen is limited by the sub judice rule.

Irritating americanisms apart there were explanations regarding the limitations of SCR and the impact on player sales. Reference was made to protecting the Academy and Dore development. Long term aim was referenced as getting back to the EPL. Improvements in data analysis, recruitment and sports science using the latest technology were outlined. In short if you looked for the postives rather than the negatives there was much to digest.

The outstanding questions that were not asked were for timelines in relation to the Legal dispute with Page and when it was expected the EFL would complete investigations should any be currently ongoing.

Rosen confirmed their current legal position. The dispute with United World is a transactional matter between two parties. The ball would appear to be in United Worlds court as to how they next progress this.

Rosen stated there were no breaches of EFL Insolvency regulations. He was clear he did not believe there were grounds for sporting sanctions. This will be the legal advice he has been given. Whether that pans out remains to be seen.

If FH is to regain any credibility with SUFC owners and supporters it would help if you avoided joining the hysteria bandwagon perputated by some of those you mention, namely Jordan and Maguire. Jordan has never been a lover of SUFC and Maguire is an accountant who has shown he does not fully understand how the EFL disciplinary regulations work in practice. References to points deductions and comparisons with the Southampton case display a lack of understanding of the legal process.

What SUFC supporters do not require is for the matter to be politicised as it did with our neighbours. It will only place pressure on the EFL and IFR to concoct solutions to protect their own interests rather than the good of SUFC.

Let the law take its natural course relating to both ongoing legal actions and any future EFL Independent Disciplinary Commission.

Those who I have spoken to tonight its 50/50 whether they were impressed or not with Rosens interview. Thats 50% more probably then where it was before the pod cast.

Brief update from our lord and savour El Accounto:
  • he never did any sort of PR for Abdullah
  • Yes, he did tweet inside info from the club that may have made PA look better, but that's not PR
  • he also tweeted stuff that made him look misguided, but thats "up to the readers interpretation"

He knows exactly what he is doing.

I was concerned how naive he admits they were when they bought the club and how the tried to change too much too fast. The worry for me is it sounds like they are holding off changing the structure much at all and Wilder sounds like he will have a lot of the control he always had.

You can't talk about the process of Premier League clubs and then think "Well we tried to copy that in a way, we didn't get it right. So lets just keep it as it is with a few tweaks"
Don’t disagree. There was a bloke involved in the summer window where we signed Cooper, Burrow ls etc (was involved at Bournemouth, his name escapes me now) but always thought they should have tried to keep him on. I know him and CW got on well, and would have given some football know how on board.
