Apparently we still have Campbell so we'll be ok if you listen to some people on social media
I still think Campbell if played regularly will do well. He's a much better partner for Bamford or Can on for that matter than the current Bamford and Cannon partnership which for me is too similar.

We didn't sign Cannon for £10m according to Wilder. I thought we were looking for £7m as a whole. Ultimately nobody knows. I personally feel he needs to move on. He's not suited to the tactics, he relies on playing on the counter and with good service from both the middle and wings. We offer very little service at present to any forward and we do t often play on the counter.

Wilder is still going to want to keep him.

I hope not but if the club accepts a bid then he'll surely be off. I just feel Campbell offers more but granted when on form. That's been the issue for Campbell of late.

Any other moment in a transfer window since he signed a £7m offer is a no brainer. Bamford out of form/injured. Oné injured. Campbell - fuck knows.

Crazily, right now, he’s the striker that looks most like getting a goal. We can now only accept this if we have someone decent lined up.

Campbell looks injured to me, he could barely move by the end of the Blackburn game…probs his back again? 🤔

Does anyone honestly think we'd replace him. I mean come on seriously. It's taken us three months to sign a centre half (Kitchen) I know he's not been officially signed but apparently it's been agreed, so to sign a striker of decent quality within 24 hours would be a miracle by our standards.

Would we be significantly weaker if we sold both him and O'Hare and brought in Emil Riis and Cleary? Would require a formation tweak mind.

Sell for a combined 15mil or so and bring in these two for 7-8 at a guess?

We’ve had months and months to figure out how to play to cannons strengths and are no closer to having him suit our system . We aren’t suddenly going to figure it out.

If it’s genuine- Take the offer and let him score goals for stoke. If we can get anything near 7 mil you snatch their hands off

Don't believe we paid 10m for him. Maybe with add ons it may have approached 10m but let's face it, there's no way on earth those add ons can have been met. I'd take anything above 5m for him, just fail to see any kind of strong point to his game. Really hasn't worked or is looking like working at all.

I’m all for selling him but with 24 hours left of the window I just have zero faith we’d bring a decent replacement in.

He’s only effective (to a certain degree) in a front 2 and he’s not good enough to justify us having to play a 442 that gets us overrun in midfield.
Its money the shit owners are after not incoming players!

I reckon we're rejecting because anything less than £9m will look shit on the balance sheets
It’ll look even shitter when he leaves for £0, which is 100% what will happen if we don’t sell in this window.

I actually hope we don’t replace him now but Wilder gets told he has £xm in January and he and Holyland have to spend the next 4 months properly scouting and putting a shortlist together, with at least some overseas options.

Poorly researched short term panic buys are what’s got us into this mess
