On what basis? We get rid of one of our top 3 performers from last season, we weaken the squad, don't replace him and the fee disappears never to be seen again. Win, win for everyone at The Lane!
If rak saki is 5 million then I think we did well to get 8 mill for Brooks both much of a muchness for me
Early days obviously but the table doesn't lie, even at this stage, Norwich played 2, lost 2 minus 4 GD. And the press say that their Manager is already under pressure.

As for Andre, he's gone, we move on. GLTTL.
I don't rate Brooks as anything other more than a good Championship option but I think that's a little simplistic! Their fans say he's been one of the better parts of their early efforts

If you have o/heads to pay, monies have to be attributed to keeping the business solvent.
Great if the owners are agreeable to keep funding it but any business has to be self funding

Has Rak Saki been sold?

Brooks isn't getting much patience on Norwich forums.

Its a funny one, isn't it? Here, he cost nothing, came through the academy, was the local lad that we hoped would come good. He had started to mature in that he'd found how he wanted to play, was starting to have an impact and offer a G/A return, he was trusted to start more, and given the #11 shirt. But, there was a patience to know that the Brooks/Seriki partnership was growing but wouldn't always be at it, every week.

In Norwich however, he's not a big money transfer and they'll want to see an impact. With that comes a pressure to hit the ground running and to lead the side. All whilst still finding yourself as a player, still trying to find some consistency, and adapting to a new squad, a new city and moving away from home for the first time ever. Its a big ask but as absolutely gutted as I was to lose him, NCFC need to be realistic, they weren't buying a readymade talisman.

I would imagine once he settles in Norwich fans will see the best of Brooks. Like many wingers at this level, he can win a game on his own one week but the next he will be quiet.

Its a shame we sold him because he's a local lad that's come through the youth system but he wanted to go once the Norwich interest was formed up. As has been documented he was offered much higher wages and you can't fault him for moving because it's a short career and maybe he felt Uniteds new contract offer didn't represent what he thought he was worth?

I thought Andre Brooks was pretty decent for you last season from what I saw, still young as well. Narch is an odd place for him to go as well.

Don't think he's even played badly, they've just had a couple of bad defeats which makes everyone look bad. Big money signings always get more stick when they don't play well as you say.

It doesn’t help that the team hasn’t started well. Expectations were high for Norwich after Clement turned them round last season, start the season well and players get given a grace period to settle into the team, two defeats from two and suddenly nobody gets a free ride.

I expect Brooks to do well there but if anyone is writing him off already then more fool them.

2 goals today, rumours of his demise have been greatly exaggerated.
Had a look on Twitter at HT as I saw he scored one, their fans seem to love him. Not looked again after he scored another but I’d imagine they are just more positivity and love for him.

Suppose if he gets subbed off late on next week some daft simpleton sat at home in Norwich will tweet that he’s shit and some blades will take that as he’s not doing well and the whole Norwich fanbase hate him 🙄

And the only way to do that is to buy players in with the intention of making a profit. What young players are we currently bringing in or blooding that will do that in one, two, three years time?

Fuck up of the season getting rid of Brooks to one of our competitors. 100% on Wilder for treating him like shit. Part of me hopes he shoves it down his throat next week.
It’s 100% on the Board for wasting money under Sellés and then feeling a need to sell assets like Brooks.

Brooks left because we needed the money are nobody else was offering that sort of cash for any of our players.

I didn’t like that Wilder had a habit of digging him out but we don’t know what keeps Brooks motivated. You can’t just constantly over-praise.

His departure was nothing to do with Wilder. It’s 100% a result of the Board’s decisions.
