UTB Professional performance Cooper looks back to his best, Mcguiness with a goal and a clean sheet, might get him a transfer or a loan to buy to free up some funds or do you think wilder might wanna bring him back into the fold?

Thought romelle struggled with his decision making but, he run his socks off and showed his quality with the cross to one for the third. peck looks sharp thought him and rothwell looked quite assured in there onto next week for the real test COYRAWW UTB

One's a league 1 striker at the minute and shouldn't be anywhere near starting but it's fair to say he did more in 15 minutes than Cannon did in 90.

Professional performance in a potential banana skin. Cooper had nothing to do bar that 1 great save (fingers crossed hes back to his beat) as he i dont think he saves it last season.

McGuinness did have a decent game along side Tanganga, kept them pretty quiet.

Thought rothwell moved the ball well and arblaster when he came on carried on in simialr fashion.

Peck grew into game & i thought one had a decent cameo.

Donovan is very hit and miss.

Overall wasnt as bad as we thought it was going to be.

Having seen Harrogate Town beat Solihull Moor 5-2 in a very entertaining match yesterday, I found this match a little boring.
I's always difficult playing teams from a lower league and I was pleased and relieved with the result today. Interesting to see CW almost ignore Mark McGuiness in the post match hand shaking - also infer in his post-match interview that he had more pressing things to do after the match on a Sunday afternoon, which I took to be having a drink with his mates

It was quite emotional at the end, I've not seen an ex player get such a great response from United fans. Today was better than I thought it would be, clearly we are going to struggle to create chances. Peck is going to be a big player for us this season (if we keep him!).

Totally professions job.

Cooper made an excellent save at the end of the first half; one of those he would have conceded last season but saved the season before. I hope he is back.

Fair shout to McGuinness who scored and had a decent game. Tanganga also fine. Seriki was a threat going forwards, in the right place defensively to block a shot though took a booking after some Didzy skills. Doherty came on and was steady, not much of a challenge for him. Norrington-Davies was fine, but not so front footed as Burrows in the second half.

Peck was probably my MoTM. Thought he was everywhere. Those thinking it’s ok if we cash in to West Ham I.e. I was one of them! We need a rethink. We’re far better when he starts. Rothwell needs to improve his shooting and should have scored. He’s not the quickest but tidy and looked to play forward. Arblaster came on and played a lovely ball for the third.

Chong was encouraging and I hope his injury isn’t anything significant. Donovan had a number of instances where he didn’t make the right decision or miscontrolled but then showed his quality with a good cross for the third. O’Hare was busy and involved and seemed to take an extra touch each time he could have shot. Good to see him score.

Bamford such a clever player and took his goal really well. Retains possession very well high up the pitch. Another blank for Cannon, wasn’t a threat first half, had a couple of chances second half but missed. He looks bigger than last season, kept running but not his day. Oné came on for Bamford and was a handful. Set up Cannon and also cleverly made a cushion header for O’Hare’s goal.

Decent effort and some nice goals. Third one was very well worked.
It’s good when someone on here has seen the same match as I and the same levels of performance from individuals.

Tanganga keeps getting on the wrong side of his striker, which may be a problem in the Championship .

I really enjoyed watching Oné when he came on. As well as the assist for O'Hare, he had an instant impact for the second. If you see the camera from behind the goal, the Mansfield defenders were concentrating so much on trying to manhandle Oné to the ground, they completely forgot about McGuinness who gratefully nodded it home.

Decent display today. Some actual cohesion and attacking intent, particularly 2nd half.
Peck for some reason will always be a scapegoat so nice to see him get MOTM. He’s a much better player in oppositions half.
Cannon was….. Cannon.
Some optimism for the season tho, if only a glimmer.
Peck really isn't a scapegoat. A few imbeciles on here doesn't represent the majority of our fanbase.

When you’ve done as much and travelled as much as me over the years you can comment. Still support but I can see crap and bad decisions and call them. We can be and should have been so much better since 2016. We’ve been let down. I’ll be there when we’re in the National League. If I live that long.
I can comment then.

says so much about wilder this team.
if this is a good place to be in he can surely only expect it to get even worse - as I expect with his transfer dealings
Baptiste has been the best CB pre season
but NO - SUFC OWNED and YOUNG so F him over and play a journeyman out of position on the left side.
AS RIGHT SIDED CB Souttar will be out of position on the left if he is signed and captain Clown plays
Captain clown is NOT up to this standard
Nor is Cannon BALLs
Rothwell has shown NOTHING to indicate why he was signed last winter and is NOT an improvement on the others or even cheaper
Bamford and Cannon up front have no pace and zero hold up play
and cannot run in behind
Campbell should be a starter
No doubt out best attacking player - only threat - Chong will be wasted on the right wing rather than on the left
I fail to see how RND can play the sole player on the left side after 5 minutes on the field all pre season - or is he sitting deep as Wilder is scared of defeat?
Are we playing for pens?
Hopefully, your'e not looking for a job in football mate 😂

Plenty of comments on the players but each time the camera panned around to the bench, it was good to see Phil Jones actively doing ‘stuff’.

I have no idea what he was analysing but he was definitely engrossed in it and passing on information.

I don’t know why but this gives me a little more confidence in our preparation and game management.

A negative free post.

Job done!

Peck bossed the midfield and I was impressed that Rothwell always seemed to want the ball.

Can't be loaning out McGuinness, needs to be a full transfer away. He was definately in the shop window today, as I think were a couple of others hence the strong side put out.

Also need to say, hope those injuries aren't serious, and that's why we should not have put out a good strength squad, we could have done with using this to test some of the kids and we'd still have won at a canter.
