One looked so much better than Tommy Cannon

When comparing the two players the one thing that stands out is the willingness to make space and effort to win the ball that One puts in when compared to Cannon. Forget about ability, we all want effort and unfortunately Cannon shows very little

Mad how we win and people jump straight on to give this kid a stoning. Ffs, I really hope we do sell him because he just doesn't work at this club.
I beg you to watch him and only him for any 10 minute spell. His weakness and lack of positional sense is so poor. Why do we have to watch someone give so many awful displays and almost feel guilty about mentioning it on the forum 😂

I think as a fan base we’re quite patient

Look at how we supported Didzy thro his 25 goal prem start, due to his effort level

Cannon seemingly cant be arsed, that’s why he gets shit

Forget we don’t play to his strengths and it’s Wilders fault. By now regardless of tactics or style if he was any good he would have shown us something.
But for me he is neither one thing or the other. No pace no guile no strength no clever movement he’s had more than a fair crack at the whip he’s an absolute proven non firing Cannon.
Any offer to take him should be snaffled.

I think as long as we see any player give effort we can forgive anything. Ben Osborn wasn’t a world beater but every Unitedite could tell he was putting a shift in and therefore never got any hammer.

I think he gives 100% but I don’t think he’s very good. Campbell for some reason is not universally liked but I think he’s levels above Cannon.

i dont never looks like winning a header and the ball never sticks with him just looks as though he cant be arsed anybody bids 5m i would snatch their hands off

Like I say there are many that have that view but I think Campbell at the top of his game is decent whereas Cannon is just plain useless.

The problem is that Campbell has not been at the top of his game for at least one season and the fact he has not been involved and sent for special one to one training indicates that not a lot has changed.
Both cannon and Campbell have to be moved on, who for not sure, but someone who puts in effort would be a bonus

I'll be gobsmacked if anyone comes in for Cannon. He's shown for a season and a half that he lacks of any the qualities that make a forward useful. Devoid of strength, pace, skill, and guile.
It's clear Wilder will keep playing Cannon over better players because of his personal involvement in sanctioning the signing - getting him off the books could remove that option and open up a key spot for someone who is capable of contributing to the team.

90 mins v a very average division one side where we notched 3 and he did absolutely nothing...apart from sky a good chance. What is his USP? He isnt big, he isnt fast, he doesnt hold it up, he doesnt score. His time is up with us and it will do both the lib and Cannon a favour if he moves on

have to agree neither cannon or campbell are going to get us the goals for a top 8 spot one in his cameo role today looked better than both of them if we could get 6m for the pair of em i would take it

It also takes two wages off the books. In addition Campbell contract expires next year and he should therefore be moved on as cannot see us offering him a new contract

He’s fantastic at being at the wrong place at the wrong time. I’ve never seen a player hide from the ball as much as him or base their entire game on not being involved

I would cash in unsure how much we would get but its simply not working here for him be it formations or just ability. Loan a striker to compliment the 3 we have re injuries and fitnes. One starts every day of the week over Cannon for me. Seems a nice bloke but its like the gf saying its not you its me ... yeah

I'd be amazed if anyone takes him permanently, surely any club slightly interested would be looking at a loan first based on his performances for us.

I would happily entertain any offers. I want it to work, but I don't see enough to his game and he doesn't actively take games by the scruff of the neck enough. In this new era, we need everyone to step up and to try and influence games.

I'd explore options of a sale and reinvest in Bim Pepple from Plymouth. Young, raw, powerful, potential for good resale value in the PSR world.

Confidence absolutely fucked. Didn’t look terrible today, just lost. He’s clearly a confidence based player. I think we personally need to write him off for our sake, and probably for his sanity/mental health.

I would’ve joked that a 3 month stint on loan at Leigh RMI would sort him out, but I think he needs a total fresh start.

I'd genuinely rank Cannon fourth choice. I rate Campbell much more, although think we need to play him back into form, fitness and making sure he feels wanted and valued. I think he lost some of that, when Bamford arrived and when our overall form dipped.

Either way, as we move away from Gus' goal and chance creation, we need to be using everyone as much as possible to try and share the load. I'd want us to work on forging partnerships between the forward four and making subs week in, week out.

Its not Cannons fault that pretty much every ball to him today was lumped up in the air like he's a target man.
