I know we have tried with Slav, Heci & Selles but three has got to somebody out there than wilder surely. The football today was absolutely pathetic.

Not playing Seriki from the start was unbelievable, I think there is a problem between player and manager and I think he will be the first to be sold in the summer.

We need to be more proactive and not just think wilder solves all. Don't want to be a wilder out but there has to be a better solution moving forward.

What is it then?
Probably Seriki needed a rest.
He’s not a robot.
Loads of them seemed to playing well within themselves today and we often struggle against a packed defence with a low block.
I’d imagine Wilder thought that Seriki would be wasted against a low block since there is no space behind to exploit. Made sense to me. Hamer was as bad as he can be and O’Hare was below par and Bamford looked lost. Only Brooks, for my mind, made any real effort to unlock them.

I really don’t know what the issue is. Wilder was brought back to stop us getting relegated. That will be achieved with ease.

I think our squad is good enough that we were never really going to be considered relegation candidates.

Had we played to our potential more often we would’ve made the playoffs so that’s the reason for disappointment. Wilder needs to take the credit for the successes, but he has to also take the blame for the failures.

Not really answering my question, want to know why wilder is the answer and we can't seem to get out of the cycle

It’s because when a manager is at a club for a considerable length of time an infrastructure evolves around them and becomes ingrained. The result of this is that the entire club ends up being geared towards only being suitable to support that specific management style. A prime example of this was Alex Ferguson. As others have said, this will only be able to change with a huge and expensive upgrade to the entire footballing operation. Without that, we’re stuck in the cycle.

Because Wilder's ego won't accept it first, then the Wilder cult that has been created.
He can never take responsibility and is becoming less likeable as the years go by.
Do you ever give it a rest? You must be frothing at the mouth everytime something doesn’t go right. He’s dragged us off the bottom of the table up into 11th with numerous players he didn’t want or sign in playing a better, more attractive brand. Still, doesn’t matter what he does you will want him gone.

What’s frustrating is effort levels and application

If we came out today like we did vs Cov or pigs, we’d have been 3 up at half time

Can’t help but think motivation and ensuring players give everything is kinda the managers job

He’s done an amazing job sorting out Sellés shit pile for balance

Apart from today we've been good to watch under CW, much better than last
I think good to watch is a stretch personally, we’ve had moments in games where we’ve looked unplayable, Wednesday for example, dominated them for 20 minutes, scored a couple. Sat back. Why? Why do we do this? Press the issue, go out and demolish teams.

Basic tactics befuddle Wilder, WBA are the epitome of relegation fodder, but he’s simply unable to break down a squad playing a low block style. I’ll not go on regards substitutions etc, but that’s partly the reason why folk can’t be arsed.

And far from alone in that too.
Read the room, and forums, many are becoming tired of him.
Enjoy your weekend

Can't blame CW today. Think the players thought they'd just need to turn up to win the game.

However, this pathetic side to side and backwards first approach needs binning. It's not all about possesion. We are seeing teams with worse squads than us creating better chances with less possession because they try to play forward first.

It was a real treat to watch Boro's midfield the other week. If only we played that way.

It was poor today.

I was Meh about Wilder coming back, but his job was to reverse the shit show Selles had created and keep us in the division. For a while I thought he'd lost his touch, but he's wrestled it back and we are now comfortably safe.

Personally I'd keep him now and let him carry on with the rebuild in the summer.

Frustrating watch today though, but no point hitting the panic button.

No one is answering my question why we can't seem to move on
We can move on, but we've backed the wrong horse a couple of times.

Happens at lots of clubs, who pick the wrong bloke and go back to what they know.

Ask Celtic

Ask Everton

And if you're really not sure, about changing manager and picking the wrong bloke, then ask Spurs

I want better. Check out the time to look towards 26/27 thread.
Funny how you only ever post when United don’t win, or how we shouldn’t laugh at Wednesday. Bet you were crying into your mum’s knickers when Brewster set BBD up against your lot today

The problem is that the whole club revolves around Wilder, if he moves on we need a new management structure in place, to replace his influence with a finger in every pie. One way round this is to bring a young coach in now to work, initially along side him and then replace him

Needed a rest they’ve just had a week since the last game, get over yourself…
