Or James Bord bidding £48 million for the Pork.

The main issue with Wilder is that his intelligence is not not artificial.

Some of us were saying last summer that it was inexplicable that a team that just missed out on the PL appointed a manager whose best career achievements were avoiding relegation from the 2nd tier on GD and taking another team to mid table in the 3rd tier

We were told that there was seriously mitigating factors. Hull had a crazy chairman, Reading were in a mess etc etc. Well it turns out that if a manager has a mediocre record, its probably because he's a mediocre manager.

I know some people hate Wilder, but please get a grip, we are a Championship side with a very strong Championship manager. Hate him fine. Sack him. End up with Selles or similar - really. I don't want to sack a manager every 6 months - solid backing with appropriate in-club challenge is what we need, not fans spouting to try and get good managers sacked. Can't you focus on your own team Mr / Mrs / Miss / Ms / Master Sabella.

I’m shocked that he has 4 wins and 6 draws to his credit during that period , since in his mercifully short period with us he managed to achieve none of either .

We'll never know, but if Wilder and Knill had been given all summer to bring in their targets and coach their system we'd definitely have started a lot stronger.
