Will we send Wednesday down?

The reality is that Chancer has already sent them down, the only thing that the result of this game could realistically effect is them making it less likely for us to reach the playoffs.

Has he though? He only quit and put them into admin after the fans' campaign to get rid of him. If the fans had been nicer they may have had a deduction for paying wages late but not the deduction for admin. If it wasn't for their "Chansiri Out" campaign they could still be in contention.

Meh, it would be funny and just a nice addition to the season.

I don't particularly care whether they're getting relegated anyway or trying to look "classy" (why this obsession with football clubs trying to act classy came from I don't know) even now they strut around like they're not on the brink of administration and their ground isn't a magpies fart away from being blown over anyway. In what universe do they deserve humble responses from us ? 🤣

If we win and the scenario is such that we nail the relegation then it's simply funny and Wilder should walk around the Lane like he's just won the treble. Balls to em

I don't really care if we relegate them or not (though it would be funny) but I would really love us to give them a proper thumping for once. The sort of result that puts Boxing Day to rest and becomes folklore for decades to come.

Whatever happens, it'll surely be a new record for the earliest relegation. Even in Rovrum's diabolical season they made it as far as April before they were technically doomed.

I'd take a horrible, scrappy 1-0 win as per usual. Think a few need to keep their powder dry
i wouldnt i was there at the sty on boxing day and want us to completely destroy them 5 or 6 nil just wish the fixture had been a week earlier for a valentines day massacre and hope their fans get the same welcome they have given us at swillsbro corner for the last 2 derbies utb ftp ⚔️⚔️⚔️

I think it might happen!
39 points from safety with 2 to go before they play us after which they can only get 39 points.

Help us out, what does that mean? When they inevitably lose their next two, does that mean we can mathematically send them packing?

Only if the gap to 21st doesn't get bigger.

If they lose their next two, whoever is in 21st needs to stay on 32 points.

At the moment I think it's swaying towards Barry Bannan's Millwall finishing them off the week before we play them.

Isn’t it the opposite? If they lose the next two and then (hopefully) lose to us, the max points total they can get to is 32, so either Blackburn or West Brom would need to get at least 1 point before then for us to mathematically send them down?

Something in me would rather Bannan score the winner to send em down instead us 🤣🤣🤣

Assuming all the others down there lose the next 3 it all depends on the Blackburn Norwich game really, a draw gives us a chance to relegate them a win for Norwich and Blackburn lose the next 2 then mathematically we couldn't as they would be 39 adrift with 39 to play for

In years to come when we're all pushing up daisys.
Our offspring will remember, not the Sheffield Double but the Sheffield Treble.
United win, Wednesday lose, Wednesday down.
I still grin when I think back to the Leicester game when we took their place in the top flight.

Assuming pigs lose the next 3 games

Now:
Safety 32
Pigs -7
Gap 39 (48 to play for)

After Swansea v Pigs
Safety 32/33/35
Pigs -7
Gap 39/40/41 (45 to play for)

After Millwall v Pigs
Safety 32/33/34/35/36/38
Pigs -7
Gap 39-45 (42 to play for)

Very close

To be honest, a few months back I reached the point where I was hoping the useless twats start picking up some results in order to potentially help us.

They were down months ago, I don’t really care about the maths.

They’re obviously down but we’ll be the ones painting them in red if we get given the mathematical opportunity. I hope it plays out for us.
