Think it's perfectly clear? His lack of physicality has been one of the main things holding him back. Coaches must have known, he must have known. And he's what, 22 now? It's enough time to have addressed it

He has always been technically one of the best players in the youths and has a real flair to his game but has really struggled to translate consistently to seniors whenever I've seen him.

Hopefully he can progress from here cause he is absolutely fantastic to watch when he is in full flow.

He’s had long enough to get in the gym, basically. He might not be the body type to suddenly become stacked like Seriki - I’m sure it’s not sudden but the contrast between him now compared to when he came through is stark - he should be able to get to a point where he is functionally strong enough.

Some people just dont bulk up no matter how much they work at it.You can bet the fitness coaches will have tried this angle ,you can bet he will be fit though.He will naturally bulk up a bit as he matures ! Which might be right now! George Best was 10 and a half stone with no fat or excess muscle ! What a great player he was .Weight training for fitness is what footballers look for .

Lets see how Louie does at Falkirk i expect him to shine.

I find people who make derogatory comments about Scottish football quite laughable. I assume most of them have only ever watched it on TV and are also snobs. I’m lucky enough to work in Scotland quite a bit and take in a lot of games across all the divisions. The notion that football can only be enjoyed if it’s of the highest technical quality is nonsense. I see some hugely enjoyable and entertaining games and the atmosphere, even with smaller crowds, is generally superior to most games in England.

I fully agree with you, which is why I made the point about functional strength. He doesn’t need to be massive, but he does need to be strong enough to play men’s football at the highest level.

David Brooks is hardly a brick shithouse and he took a while to break through and was going to go out on loan until he impressed enough to be thrown in so size isn't EVERYTHING but Brooks has been a premier league player for years now even with his various serious health issues so I'd argue his natural ability was far higher than most our academy players outside of Ndiaye!

I don’t think anyone would say it can’t be entertaining, you can get a boring match at elite level same as it can be boring at Non League level. Equally a match can be entertaining at amateur level.

Scottish football isn’t a very good standard, compared to other major leagues, that’s just a fact. Auston Trusty has a SPL winners medal, which says it all really.
