Esse and Piroe will get them over the line, two cracking signings for this level.
I still think Ipswich will join them in 2nd and the pair of them will be well clear come Easter.

To follow up, it would've been great to have Esse as he's undoubtedly a huge talent... but I'd rather we sold Hamer and invested in a similar profile winger that plays off the left.

I'd really like to see us give the right wing minutes to Andre Brooks now and not block his way.

I appreciate he blows hot and cold and his end product could be better... but, at his age, he can only get better and he has shown an awful lot in his senior appearances.

If Brooks improves his end product, then we've probably produced a £10-15m winger out of our academy and it doesn't feel like he's a million miles away from things suddenly clicking into place.

A side note, our owners have to see the wonders that our academy is producing and invest heavily in supporting and improving it. It's been fantastic for this club for 20 years and seems to be getting better. Remarkable over performance.

I’d rather have Brooks. He’s one of ours and he’s playing well. Esse has promise but he’s no body of work behind him. That’s why he’s going on loan to the division from which he came. Think of the progress our own player could make with those minutes.

Apparently he’s been rubbish in Spain but I wonder if we could somehow rescue Manor Solomon from his loan. He was decent for Leeds, 10 goals for them.

A realistic and quality transfer market would be something like Patterson from Sunderland, Choudhury from Leicester, Rothwell from Rangers and Solomon from Spurs, whilst keeping the key players we have such as Bamford.

That would show we seriously mean business.
