Find it hysterical that the same people saying he was the worst player in the history of football now want to sign him permanently

He should never have started looking back, he was a young lad in a team with no direction. He hid, and didn’t look up to it. Wilder has played a master stroke behind the scenes and took him out of the firing line.

I’m not a massive fan of Wilder on some aspects, but the way he manages some players is his best skill.

Agree…this thread just shows how reactionary many fans are.

He’s played well for 1.5 games….and some are raving about him.
I thought the consensus was after just 2 games….he was too slow and too weak…basically crap and not Championship standard.

Now about 2 games later…he’s the best thing since sliced bread.
Same with McGuuness….apparently he’s crap but was great against Stoke for 1 half….then he’s gone back to being crap again.

Also find it funny how some fans think it’s so easy to sign/ buy players or sell players.

The penny doesn’t seem to have dropped that if we fail to gain promotion this season…then we need to make almost £30 million per season savings
And salaries need to be cut….basically we won’t have finances to compete….and don’t blame the owners….blame the FFP rules.

So Wilder may well want Bindon…..but the owners might say we need to bring in £30 to £40 milion in sales before we make an offer for Bindon.
Also what if Forest want at least £10 million? What if the player wants £20K a week making him one of our top earners?

Saying all that…..agree he looks a cultured defender with good potential.
Still say he seems a bit lightweight and slow-ish, maybe too nice too but no doubt as he gets older and more experienced he’ll improve.
If the deal is right then I would try to sign him too….but he’s a low-ish priority so wouldn’t over stretch ourselves for him.
Yes it's almost as if this is a forum with hundreds of people with different opinions

Master stroke 😂

He’s playing him because he has no other choice

If McGuiness didn’t get injured bindon would have gone back to forest without kicking another ball

Last season Burrows looked to have star player potential, season before that Ben Brereton Diaz looked to have it.

Consistency seems to be inconsistent.

It is a manager and coaches job to improve players and also to put together a team and tactics that suit the players they have. How do we view Wilder and his teams ability to do these. Which player past and present has Wilder improved and how in the past have we fitted the style to the players. For one on this second point I would say Billy Sharpe For the first I am starting to see Seriki, he is actually get better as defender and better at holding his position.

Bash, Coutts and JOC, you could add to that

Almost everyone started badly. Just Bindoj was new to us and this level and unlike say Peck or Hamer there was no other evidence he was up to it. Strategically this issue I saw, was that as the young loan signing at Centre Back and with Anel on the way out, we wanted someone with that profile to have pace. Now we have Tanganga and Seriki.and McCallum starting regularly, his presence if playing well makes more sense.

I remember watching this at the time and thinking Bindon looked like he was approaching the situation like he was going to come away with the ball - I couldn't for the life of me see how, but it was pure class the way he did it.
Just supreme confidence. Brilliant to see. “I am better than you, I am taking this ball off you”.

It’s a world away from Harrison Burrows’ view of “please don’t try and take me on” when faced with an opposition winger right now.

wouldnt suprise me if we sold burrows either in january or july hes fallen off a cliff form wise and mcallum has made the lb spot his own

I thought he was superb on Saturday, made me think of JOC when he first arrived Jack didn't get off to the best of starts either
Said exactly the same Saturday - Bindon was thrown under the bus when he came here which must have kicked his confidence

He’s now playing with a good CH a left back playing the best in his career and a right back who is just getting better all the time

Plus a DM whose a leader and options of Arblaster Peck Davis then Ohare n Hamer

No doubt the lad would have shone last season playing behind Souza etc

While I totally agree he has had two good games, I think people are getting a bit carried away.

You say; "no doubt the lad would have shone last season...", but there IS some doubt.

His poor start may well have been to a large part, playing under a tit of a manager, in a weak defence, with no recognised DM in front. It is however very possible, that he is a young lad learning his trade and will have nervy games, make mistakes and he is far from the finished article.

I do rate what I've seen recently, and I want him to stay as cover, but can we leave the cannonisation until he's played at least a score of Championship games?

Yep. And I have no doubt that Tanganga and Mee will be the first choice pairing when both fit.

But you know what our fans are like. Some reckon they can judge a player on one appearance and end up looking stupid further down the line.

Bindon doesn't have mees experience but he's better on the ball and more mobile

He could develop into a real asset whereas mee won't

The shirt is bindons for now and it's up to him to keep it

Your view, and that may well be the case, were you the manager.

Fortunately you are not, and CW may not share your opinion.

My money is on Mee coming back in when he's fit.
