And is not what the majority of you see or read on the internet bollocks? It's peoples inability to discern truth from fiction that fuels the internet. They see it and believe it, without thought or analysis. It's like reading the 'Rumours' thread on here and taking it as read that the posters know anything about football.
I don't believe a word you've just written, because it's on the internet!

Got bored at work and had a stab at a recruitment plan using similar parameters.

I'd like to go one step further with a budget of £20m assuming all the players you mentioned above being gone. I'd also thought that keeping to EFL players would be more realistic and I've allowed a couple of players over 28.

CB X 3 Chris Mepham (free) Rob Holding (£2m) Callum Doyle (loan)
RB Jimmy Dunne (free)
CDM Alex Mowatt (£3m)
CM Ben Sheaf (£8m)
CAM John Swift (free)
RW Kwame Poku (free)
LW Ben Brereton-diaz (£7m)
CF Emil Riis Jakobsen (free)

I think that team strengthens us across the board and gives a lot more strength in depth

That's like saying "the Internet is a load of bollocks".

Whether you like it or not, it's not going away and it's going to dramatically change the way the world works just as much as the combustion engine and world wide Web.

Thats okay I have Sarah Connor on speed dial in case it goes pear shape.

No to Brereton-Diaz and Swift for me.

Definite yes to Dunne, Mepham and Poku and not because theyre free. I genuinely think we'll be stronger team with them as they're arguably upgrades on what we already have. Dunne would be an adequate and reliable replacement if we sold Anel.

ai - what a load of bollocks. Some of the people who, through their adoration of technology, swoon over this shit is amazing.
Oh, this is the type of bullshit you come out with. Fair enough no wonder I didn't know you exist 😂😂😂

Real men don't cry or go on their phones and look at technology. They go on their tractors with a big hammer and a nail gun looking for things to fix.

Let’s forget about the day after promotion and put together a really stodgy, attritional championship level team, full of 27 yr old cast offs, British ‘good lads’ with a couple of star dust players to dig us out of a hole at 0-0, and then watch us get absolutely dry bummed in the 26/27 PL season.

All whilst moaning that you can’t compete on the £150m transfer budget. You sow the seeds of survival the season before & the season before that. That’s why Leeds will stay up next season.

There’s a reason that Bournemouth and Sunderland don’t want Mepham. Just as there’s a reason Leicester don’t want Souttar and didn’t want Cannon. But let’s ignore that, and let’s dip our dicks in, and pay full value in fees and/or wages.

Two recent transfers should point the way for our future recruitment; Esteve at Burnley and Klarer at Birmingham. Scout the talent, pay the full fat fee, get the quality in, play them and get a potential upside on the resale. If you don’t sell you’ve got a player that is a level above what you need.

Mepham doesn’t move this ship on. McBurnie doesn’t move this ship on.
