His interviews suggest he's a bit of a teddy bear - not a critism - he's nice lad. But to be a winner he needs to ditch that

He might be softly spoken but his actions on the pitch show that he is prepared to put himself where it hurts. Like I said elsewhere I think it was the Stoke match he nearly got his head kicked off going for a header.

He makes blocks, heads it, doesn't shirk a tackle and generally gets stuck in. Everything you want in a defender.

I'm not sure I saw the very good CB in him at the beginning of the season, I thought he looked awful .. but he wasn't alone and I do think Jack Robinson has that effect on players.

It still angers me that Wilder stuck by him so loyally for the "culture carrier" nonsense. We had Rob Holding right there, available and a far better player. I'm convinced if we'd stuck with him for the play-offs we'd be in the PL.
Mackems would not have got their second .... Or was it first ?
My memory has already begun to auto-delete.

Bindon is going to be a top player and im sure Wilder would buy him tomorrow if possible. His reading of the game for such a young player is
exceptional
following that has bravery on the ball and has the physicality needed at the top level.
Im a sheffielder and talk sheffield direlect bindon like Bamford has good English diction that doasnt mean they arnt robust and can tough it like the best.
Tanganga & Bindon have to be our best pairing for now !.
We kept being told this, but his reading of the game before Stoke had been shocking. I don't think there was ever a debate about his quality with the ball, but today we saw that positional awareness which we've missed in a CB probably since Egan or Souttar.

Bindon was hung out to dry as was Peck in them early games ! Two young players who had no support ! Not surprising they looked poor.
Even then i thought he had a composure about himself.
Both players will play premiership football be it with us or some other team..

I agree that expecting a 20-year-old playing at the highest level of his career to anchor the defence of a club in transition was likely to be problematic. That said, I thought in those early games that his positioning tended to be a bit suspect indicating a poor reading of the game. Yesterday was the polar opposite.

I’ve called the lad Binman on many occasions, on here, from the SeLLLLLLEs years (it felt like that).

He’s been excellent since getting his chance in the side. Aggressive, cool, calm, reading the game well, all the things I didn’t see before.
Well done the lad. I don’t t want him sent back to florist now.

Can we send them McGuinness instead?
Do you think they’ll notice?

Tanganga and Mee is our best combo.

And Bindon isn't good enough to warrant playing Tanganga out of position.

When McGuinness is back, I'd stick him straight in.
Any change of your McGuinness stance after the last 2 games?

Not trying to point score, I just have never seen what ANYONE sees in McGuinness. I think he's so so poor.

If we can buy this guy out of his loan fora couple of million he could turnout to beat great long term signing

Also frees up a loan slot
Totally agree but do you think that’s realistic Frank?
It would surely be a similar deal to what we paid to Tanganga and would be quite a show of intent from the board. I can’t see Forest doing a deal on the cheap unfortunately, especially after McGuiness and Mee.

They only paid 750 grand for him so I'm not sure why they would be looking for ten times that for a player who until recently has looked league one standard
If they won't sell him for a reasonable fee then we keep him on loan unless the player wants out and he seems happy enough to me

If he’s obtainable for a reasonable fee then it would be an incredibly signing and give us a very solid longer term pairing in central defence. As I mentioned it would be a very exciting show of intent from the board, so hope it happens.
I still think spend on fees will be limited in Jan after the summer but we live in hope!

Strange comments. He's just a respectable, polite and well mannered young fella. Born in New Zealand and grew up in California. He's no Joey Barton and neither should we want him to be. He certainly attacked that cross with aggression and never shied out of a tackle today.

There’s undertones of homophobia

And as a proud Ally to the LGBTQ+$ community I find that highly offensive

I’ve not forgotten you raving about how good Selles was Fallowfield, we all make misjudgements.

When did I say that ?

I think selles is a decent manager

He was thrown in at the deep end with no arm bands by this incompetent board

He is doing a good job at rock bottom real Zaragoza so I have seen

Find it hysterical that the same people saying he was the worst player in the history of football now want to sign him permanently

Agree…this thread just shows how reactionary many fans are.

He’s played well for 1.5 games….and some are raving about him.
I thought the consensus was after just 2 games….he was too slow and too weak…basically crap and not Championship standard.

Now about 2 games later…he’s the best thing since sliced bread.
Same with McGuuness….apparently he’s crap but was great against Stoke for 1 half….then he’s gone back to being crap again.

Also find it funny how some fans think it’s so easy to sign/ buy players or sell players.

The penny doesn’t seem to have dropped that if we fail to gain promotion this season…then we need to make almost £30 million per season savings
And salaries need to be cut….basically we won’t have finances to compete….and don’t blame the owners….blame the FFP rules.

So Wilder may well want Bindon…..but the owners might say we need to bring in £30 to £40 milion in sales before we make an offer for Bindon.
Also what if Forest want at least £10 million? What if the player wants £20K a week making him one of our top earners?

Saying all that…..agree he looks a cultured defender with good potential.
Still say he seems a bit lightweight and slow-ish, maybe too nice too but no doubt as he gets older and more experienced he’ll improve.
If the deal is right then I would try to sign him too….but he’s a low-ish priority so wouldn’t over stretch ourselves for him.
