Ah so you would have missed the new gym on Scott Road with it's new showers which was a godsend for one or two of the Brothers with "tendencies" to indulge with pupils who didn't have the guts to tell them to fuck off like the rest off of us or perhaps they welcomed it. Strange then how we all took it in our strides and it did not see it as abuse and never felt the need to report it with hindsight now I wish I had but I assume it would have been hushed up by the Catholic hirearchy.

Presumably so they wouldn't frighten the natives if anything flopped out.

This actually happened one sports day.

A chap who shall remain nameless, in the days when shorts for all sports were fashionably short, was running in some event or other and as he belted down the finishing strait, his tackle (and there was plenty of it), emerged swinging freely for all to see.

Sure did, we had a reunion a number of years ago and he was the only teacher to turn up.

Yep was in the same year as his sister, Jarvis is a couple of years older. Which I suppose answers the first gig question, Arabacus Pulp (which was their original name I think) was my first gig at school.

I remember if the PE teachers werent watching during shower time at Maud Maxfield, the older boys would whip their towels at the younger boys and it was quite painful!

Well in my day teachers were "in loco parentis" and took their responsibilities very seriously

Well we crossed over for two years then and chances are if you played football or any of the many sports on offer, I'd maybe recognise your name. I only attended to play sport as my academic record would testify

When Maguire does go we can't be as critical as when we let the two Kyle's go and James Beattie, back then we where in the Championship and 'supposedly' trying to get back in the Premiership, now we are about to start our fourth season in the third tier and have finished lower each season we have been down here.

Harry has the potential to be one of the best centre backs in the country, he has got to progress himself and he is not going to do that whilst stuck in the third division for what could be another two or three years.

What we must do is try to push the fee as high as possible, remembering that he is in the last year of his contract, 3 million would be a decent amount.
