Seriously? I’d have put my house on us being ball 33 the most out of any ball. The last time we were drawn as ball 33 was in 1915. Lucky omen?
Normally I would hate this suggestion, but after the away game I'd quite like to play them again but at home, and it would mean Wilder would put out a full strength team.Pigs at home would be great. 25/26 treble season.
I used to remember running home from school at dinner time to listen to draw on radio ....FA Cup draw is apparently not on free to air terrestrial TV , TNT are saying it will be on their YouTube channel , I can't see where either Radio 5 or Talksport are covering the draw live ,, and the time of the draw is " approximately" 640pm ,,, it SHOULD BE 1230pm on the radio
Which mob were you in ?I went there in 2002, it was in the 3rd qualifying round when they were playing Harrogate Town, I was living near Harrogate at the time when in the Army, my mate was a Stanley fan, it was a 0-0 draw at their place in front of a decent crowd of over 1,100 (this was for 2 back then Unibond Premier League sides) then went to the replay at Harrogate midweek which Harrogate won in an entertaining 3-2 win, that had about 600 there and to be fair it was a near on 50/50 split on the crowd. Now both teams are playing in League 2!
Glad I've seen in this thread that the draw is not on tv. Saved me sitting through half an hour of the One Show!
My memory of it (90s) was always on a Sunday afternoon on the box. Graham Kelly and Bert Millichip drawing the names from a velvet bag in a wood panelled room and putting the balls into a holster thing afterwards.FA Cup draw is apparently not on free to air terrestrial TV , TNT are saying it will be on their YouTube channel , I can't see where either Radio 5 or Talksport are covering the draw live ,, and the time of the draw is " approximately" 640pm ,,, it SHOULD BE 1230pm on the radio
I think that now replays have been banished, it makes no sense whatsoever to not go for it.Is there any reason to not "go for it" this season? We've got a pretty good sized squad and it's not going to derail an automatic promotion race or a relegation fight.
If the draw goes our way we could easily add to our healthy record of going deep
But yes I'd choose Wednesday at home to give them a proper hiding, not this tame 3-0 nonsense.
...and they wonder why supporters are putting their hard earned cash behind their own paywall and not attending the FA cup games!! Its been killed by the greed of the FA, who cares about it really, as a Blade we have absolutely no chance of ever winning it.My memory of it (90s) was always on a Sunday afternoon on the box. Graham Kelly and Bert Millichip drawing the names from a velvet bag in a wood panelled room and putting the balls into a holster thing afterwards.
Moving into the 00s as the FA Cup lost some of its prestige and the focus became more on the tradition and Everyman appeal then you’d have ex-players doing their draw from a non-league club house.
Moving this small bit of nostalgic fun behind a paywall is an absolutely rancid move.
Whoever decided a Thursday night was a good time for an FA Cup game needs to be sent directly to jail, do not pass go and do not collect £200.Are they doing those shit midweek games again?
Remember freezing my tits off and getting frostbite in my feet for the Cardiff game, last season.
It's free on YouTube. But I get your point. My memory of it (90s) was always on a Sunday afternoon on the box. Graham Kelly and Bert Millichip drawing the names from a velvet bag in a wood panelled room and putting the balls into a holster thing afterwards.

There is only any one of four teams who will win the cup. And we are not one of them.
It used to be THE highlight of the season.
Now it's been so devalued who cares!I
And apart from any money it generates I don't think there are that many managers that care either. ( Wilder being one of them)
Wellllll, they are a Prem team. Not necessarily a team you would expect to win it. But once in a while such things do happen. Rarely. But they do happen.I agree with you but do you think Palace felt like that last year?
Palace winning it last year was one of the greatest things to happen to the competition in years.I agree with you but do you think Palace felt like that last year?
The last 6 FA Cup finals, and 8 of the last 10, have been won by different teams. There is only any one of four teams who will win the cup. And we are not one of them.

And yet the past 6 years have provided 6 different winnersThere is only any one of four teams who will win the cup. And we are not one of them.
In the past being drawn against the likes of Liverpool, Man U, Spurs, Arsenal was something to look forward to and be excited about - I'm talking of the 60s and 70s when the only live football on TV was the FA Cup Final and being drawn against such teams was a novelty. There is only any one of four teams who will win the cup. And we are not one of them.
