if we can tell these players, football games are 90mins long. not 45mins & go home. our defending is comical at times. we hugely in danger. & we defend like that in 2 weeks & our big rivals will be laughing there heads off

I think professionalism due to what you said and other issues is a huge thing. Lack of professionalism bakes in issues. If a snooker player doesn't practice they're fucked . If a tennis player doesn't have a ridiculously physical Nov/Dec pre season they're fucked for the next season. Most of the time I think these players give adequate service...for about 50 minutes a game. There's no button they can push to be able to do it for 90. Too late. We're reaping what the lack of professionalism throughout the club has sown...
True, it's the total lack of professionalism that is obvious to see on the pitch, when we have players knackered after 60 minutes.

Is this acceptable to the management team ??

Thought we deserved something out of the game, but conceding just after H/T after not being able to get out, letting them put the ball in our box numerous times, plus a Keeper error cost us...the 3rd goal flattered them.

It doesn't really matter. Nowt they can do about it. In an ideal world you fuck them off to a high intensity fitness camp for six weeks and remove them from games. It's never going to happen for obvious reasons

Actually, I disagree to the optimistic comments which said we did ok, we were bad.
We had a couple of good chances first half. They had at least four.
Second half they were better all over the pitch.
Defensively (and keeping wise) terrible.
Certain players stealing a wage (they know who they are).
But it begs the question - and I have supported this club all my life.
Would I want to play in this team if I was good enough?
There only seems to be one player who will give his last breath and that’s Callum O’Hare.
The rest just seem disinterested and not willing to fight for a place in this league.
Wouldn’t surprise me if Wilder jumped ship, just like he did first time round.
Very depressing I’m sorry to say.

Good display that and an enjoyable game.
Deserved at least a point (again) I thought.

Basically settled by Tanganga’s rush of blood and an Adam Davies missed punch.

When your luck’s out, it’s really out.
Can’t remember the last time we conceded a “good” goal.
Every one seem to be from some sort of calamitous unforced error. No wonder Wilder is losing his hair.

This defence will concede at least 3 in the second half so not sure what everyone’s excited about.
Now, I don’t know Jimmy Fleck and you can say what you like about this poster- and some of you have- but he’s called it EXACTLY right again tonight, same as he did versus Preston.

Well at least we finished with a team I would consider a team(goal keeper excluded). I think mr wilder has succumb to the pressure of this forum. Siriki and brooks, not hard to see that threat is it, Cannon off the pitch, Davis is the answer next to Peck. We’ll have half a chance. However Siriki and brooks will probably not get in the squad next game will they mr wilderness!!

Derby - matched what Wilder did last season by getting to a play off final, but did it without parachute payments.

Chelsea - how long does any manager last there since Mourinho? One of the most difficult managerial jobs along with Man Utd, and he was also operating under a transfer embargo.

Everton - give over! Absolute car crash of a club and had been for a while before he went there, thanks to Moshiri. Serially clinging on to the PL by a cat’s cock hair.

Coventry - first stable club he’s managed and as you’ve admitted he’s doing a good job with a lower budget than us.
Derby weren't a stable club? Consistently pushing for promotion with a top 6 budget for years, then really splashed the cash when he came in and scraped the play offs, finishing well beneath us and Leeds with a bigger budget. 74 points and scraping 6th, compared to 92. Mount, Tomori, Wilson and didn't even challenge top 2. Spent irresponsibly to give him that opportunity, went bust after as a result.

Managers don't last at Chelsea, but most win something and get sacked regardless. He didn't fail because he got sacked, they all do, he failed because he underachieved with the squad he had. Despite the transfer embargo, he had £100 million worth of players come in that summer that had signed in the January in anticipation of the ban, along with the biggest squad on earth.

Everton have been run poorly for years, but had a top half wage bill throughout those years. Spent £85 million and took them from 16th to 16th, plenty of time to turn that squad into a top half team and failed.

Doing a good job at Coventry, should never had got the job given his record. They have a top 6 budget, top 2 would be a great achievement despite benefitting from strangely weak performances from the parachute teams.

Obviously the drugs are better in Pittsburgh

Was about to post that we don’t look like scoring…..the body language has been terrible. It’s as though they are happy to lose only 2-1 against the league leaders.
Wouldn’t surprise me if Cov fans say this is one of their worse performances of the season and we are one of the worse teams they’ve played.

Then we had a really good move….cut back to Peck….and as expected his shot gets blocked
Is Peck ever going to score? Every shot he takes is either blocked or goes wide.
Its because he has very little or no basic skill

I will judge him at CB which is his position. Get that bombscare mcguinness out of the team, put Tanganga at CB and if he's shite then you can say he is awful.
exactly tanganga and mee in a back 4 how the hell mcguinness and ogbene make the starting 11 is criminal and down to wilder both league 1 standard at best play 442 again saturday with o'hare on right and burrows on left in front of mcallum

With how O'hare is the only one ever trying, I am concerned he will burnout and want to leave. Especially with how no one ever even tries to put that same effort in.

He will fall off eventually just from being tired. I feel sorry for him.

Madness how a professional manager can't see these things.

Listening to it on Radio Sheffield as well as watching it and my biggest praise goes to Carl Asaba.

The other radio commentator, might be Giddings was highlighting the positives about how for long spells we matched the top of the league
He said the positives are on another day….we could have drawn that match….and gained a point.

Asaba replied….there are no positives…it’s yet another defeat. He also mentioned you can’t blame bad luck.
He said the only positive is we have plenty of matches left to correct our season. He seemed really angry….saying the players need to look at themselves.

F-T Cov 3 Sheff Utd 1

Positives
1st half showed us what we’re capable of when playing with confidence and no pressure. We more than matched the top of the league.
Thought Brookes and especially Sereki were good/ postive when they came on giving us some much needed attacking energy,
O’Hare again showed plenty of energy and effort. Don’t mind if our players are poor but really appreciate the high effort levels from Callum.
Thought Cannon was 5out of 10 tonight instead of his usual 2 out of 10, he did very little but as daft as it sounds, was one of his best performances whilst being here.

Negatives
Gave away 3 very avoidable goals…not even league 1 level defending….Wilder will be furious….its like they switch off.
Lack of character. Once they made it 2-1 our confidence went through the floor for 20-30 minutes. We kind of gave up with no one apart from O’Hare wanting the ball…which is shocking. There were spells against Derby and again in that 2nd half where we genuinely had the look of a relegation team.
Cooper went off injured and to be honest he’s played like he’s had an injury all season. His replacement Adam Davies looks no better than mid table league 1 standard. It will be terrible if Cooper is out long term. Wonder what Grbyz/ Garbage is doing?

A marginal improvement but still so far off it. We huffed and puffed but actually created no clear cut chances really.

McGuinnnes needs to come out the team.
Peck much better further forward.
Campbell just can't do anything unless he is fed the ball on a plate.
Ogbene does nothing.

The only 2 quality players we have available are T. Davies and Ohare.

We had enough warning from set pieces and long throws in the 1st half , didn't learn however unfortunate it was for cooper to go off.
Second half was poor though throughout .
Campbell was worse than Cannon, should have been pulled , Ings anonymous, feel for COH who ran his legs off .

Tbh Coventry were pretty shit , a well organised team with a threat would beat them ,guess we aren't that .

Frustrated as its not showing signs of improvement, the odd glimpses but not enough.

Im still convinced these players aren't as crap as the results .

Utter utter bollocks. You clearly didn't watch that match. Disinterested and not willing to fight? You honestly haven't got a clue. If you'd said athletically inferior I'd agree. We tried our very best, but second half couldn't cope with the intensity and ran out of steam. First 45 mins McCallum, Mee, Ridewald, OHare were fantastic...

Stop regurgitating other people's nonsense.

I'm sat here questioning myself: how the hell do we get out of this absolute mess.

You re-evaluate, that's how. You use the money you had budgeted for potential promotion bonuses and reuse that for finish 21st bonuses. You sell players you know that with the ending of parachute payments you will need to sell anyway (which if you use them as intended you would be doing anyway). You end the loans of aging journeymen that are offering fuck all if you can. Then you bring in young players who you think are lower Championship players with upside, either from within or externally, bring in a head coach who is good at organising a side to get results for six months, and tell them to own it. We literally only need to be less shit than three sides.
