Gone Elsewhere Mcburnie

There are lots of rich people who drink in my local. Happy to give their kids a grand a day spending money for a holiday, often very tight about buying their round.

Rich, homophobes and racists? Didn’t have you as a Rising Sun regular.

More mobile🤭... that's not a word I associate with Mcburnie 😂
Depends on context.

If for example, one was to say “my wardrobe is more mobile than Oli McBurnie” then that’s an association…

True but in comparison to Moore I'd say so. McBurnie is a better link player in my opinion over Moore. I really thought Moore was going to be a good signing but he's not as good as I thought was, maybe age is taking its role. He's not aggressive enough, not dominant enough for his role.
In comparison to Moore, Alexandra Palace is more mobile…

McB scored one and assisted one yesterday, apart from that he was a bit crap. Best player on the pitch yesterday was 31 year old Lunny .

If a striker scoring one and assisting is a bit crap I’m all for it. How’s cannon done?

Scored as many today as we have all season. Our lack of man up to to hold up the ball was so frustrating.

And he made one too.

Still, those who thought he was horse shit will be happy that hes not our player tonight...

This has aged like gone off milk.

I thought this would have been such a sensible move at this level, gutted we didn't do it. Especially with his start at Hull.

But some thought it was "backwards" or "not good enough" a move...

He’d have held nothing up when it was all 3 feet above our forwards’ heads straight to the big lad every time it went forward.

Bringing him back this summer was such an obvious sensible move to make. Apparently RS wanted him but then couldn't be arsed to bother to speak to OM directly, so the lad thought I'll go where im really wanted (in addition to a better wage).

I was really hoping he'd come back to us as I think he would have been important for us this season and a better player due to his Spanish experience. Still, the Blades recruitment team knew better. Mind you on reflection, signing the likes of Godfrey (one i didnt want us to sign), im not so sure that our recruitment team do.

Jack Robinson told him not to come here.
We offered him a year less and lower wages.

Hull is as close as Sheffield to where he wanted to be.

If Wilder was here at the time, he'd have come back.

Annoying isn’t it?

Really debilitated us this COH/Selles brain fart.

Lost key players, missed out on others and didn’t even get off the mark, as well as getting knocked out the cup.

I’m glad the Yanks are getting such a fucking over in the Ryder Cup!

That’s for Wilder that is!

I didn't particularly want McBurnie back at the time, but would always have preferred him over Moore, and we needed another striker even with Moore. With the squad as it is now, McBurnie is a massive improvement.

We're also crying out for a proper right back, after it sounded like Jimmy Dunne was pretty much sorted under Wilder.

Fuck up of epic proportions.

There were some nuggets on here who were telling all and sundry that they were pleased that we had missed out on Jimmy Dunne as he wouldn't be good enough to play in the PL. As I said at the time, shall we concentrate on getting there first and JD would have been a very solid option for us in the Championship (their captain and current POTY). Talk about a touch of expectation and arrogance from some. The likes of Dunne and McBurnie were exactly what we needed after losing Moore, Souza and Anel (Moore went later in the window but McBurnie should have been brought in anyway) and could probably have been wrapped up early in the window.

But...but...let's see where we are when the window shuts said many. Yep, that worked out fan dabby dozy. Anyway, what's done is done (badly though).

Let it go. Out jumped for Watfords winner.

No. No, let's not.

I don't exactly have trouble sleeping over it due to being upset, but daft mistakes have been made which have contributed massively to us being bottom of the Championship coming up to October. Its just some fans pointing this out to some who couldn't (or didnt want to) see the seemingly obvious at the time. Still annoying though.

By the sounds of it we’d have had Dunne, Darling and McBurnie, none of which would have cost a fee to their former clubs.

We wouldn’t probably have had Tanganga or McGuinness and we’d probably have had Robbo instead of Mee.

We’d have spent far less and arguably been more Championship ready.

That being said, if Wilder can start to get a tune out of Tanganga and McGuinness then longer term they may be higher caliber players than Dunne and Darling.

He won't get a tune out of McGuinness because he isn't very good.
An awful signing that I can't believe we spent money on. 4 year deal too.
