No chance Cooper takes the job so Sean Dyche for me.

Jesus bloody wept, know our place eh?With wilder you get passion, pride, grit, identity, unity on the pitch. Let's not forget what the Blades are all about and get above our station. The problem is that these new owners don't seem to understand the club or the heritage and what it took to get this club who were skint only a few seasons ago up to 92 points. Wilder did this. Swallow pride, get him back if he will come or go for Dyche.
Exactly what has gone wrong with a big chunk of our fanbase. Let’s be plucky underdogs forever.Jesus bloody wept, know our place eh?
Makes me wonder why I bother when this is the attitude of large sections of our support.Jesus bloody wept, know our place eh?
We really need to get over Wilder. So many better managers out there that can take the club forward. He ain't coming back. We might not keep Selles but it won't be Wilder who replaces him.
To play devils advocate he also rebuilt a completely confidence shattered squad into promotion front runners with very little money into a side that 9 times out of 10 would have been promoted. Granted, the football could have been better but every fan would swap those results and performances for what we’ve just witnessed in the last 4 games
No he wasn't. Bettis said when he was signed that he wasn't on the January priority list but the board signed him.Wilder tried to sign Cannon the previous summer.. Cannon was 100% a Wilder pick
No need to apologise, I understood what you were sayingMakes me wonder why I bother when this is the attitude of large sections of our support.
They're happiest being serial losers and runners up so they've something to moan about.
Sorry PrestwichBlade this looks like I've aimed this at you with the way I've quoted it, but it was in reference to the post you quoted![]()
To some people...absolutely not .Oh dear.
Are there really no other choices?
He’s never coming back and I never want him back either. Selles clearly isn’t working though so we’re gonna have to make a change sooner rather than later. There, I’ve put it out there.
It was a mistake getting above our station and thinking that 92 points somehow deserved a sacking.
If they are capable of swallowing their pride they will admit they made an almighty clanger.
For those wanting a change, well, you’ve seen what change looks like.
Rock bottom and promotion chances fading rapidly by the matchday.
Let’s appoint someone who actually knows how to win football matches. Either Chris or Dyche.
The longer we retain this, the fewer good mangers will fancy it.
Realistically, who do you have in mind? We really need someone who we could afford, is proven at this level and would jump at the chance to come.We really need to get over Wilder. So many better managers out there that can take the club forward.
It's the results and performances that are the problem. If we were top of the league no one would be talking about changing manager. So many people are wilder first and the club second. Embarrassing.
Nothing it is then! There can be an opinion we were right to move on from Wilder but appointed the wrong manager to replace him. Seems to be one not many have. It seems its either Wilder or nothing else.
I don’t think there’s anyone who would jump at the chance to come because they’re not a fan of the club like Wilder did in 2023/24 when he returned.Realistically, who do you have in mind? We really need someone who we could afford, is proven at this level and would jump at the chance to come.
Yes, we need a manager who wins most of his games playing fast, flowing attractive football. We should accept nothing less. Can we get a manager who can get us results without boring the arse off us?
100% well said sireWe deserve to be an average nothing club with such a complacent stupid fanbase. Wilder for a third time, jesus fucking christ. Selles has only had 4 games ! I agree it’s not been good so far but it’s way too early to be calling for change.
I can’t believe how many morons support this club. So many people are wilder first and the club second. Embarrassing.
100% CORRECTHe ain't coming back. We might not keep Selles but it won't be Wilder who replaces him.
I might be wrong, but I’m reading between a few lines based on your posting history. You seem to be insinuating that Wilder is the only person that could manage the club. If that was the case it effectively means that the club is an irredeemable basket case.Yes, we need a manager who wins most of his games playing fast, flowing attractive football. We should accept nothing less.
Not sure if I’m a “moron” under your definition as I’m club first. Problem is the best manager I can think of to sort this wreck and get us back on track is Wilder. I’ll just assume I’m a moron I your world - probably safest. We deserve to be an average nothing club with such a complacent stupid fanbase. Wilder for a third time, jesus fucking christ. Selles has only had 4 games ! I agree it’s not been good so far but it’s way too early to be calling for change.
I can’t believe how many morons support this club. So many people are wilder first and the club second. Embarrassing.
Cooper wouldn't come. Neither would Dyche. Even if they did we wouldn't meet their wage demands. These are the only two names that I've heard mentioned, but I don't see them as realistic.I don’t think there’s anyone who would jump at the chance to come because they’re not a fan of the club like Wilder did in 2023/24 when he returned.
I think Cooper would tick most of those boxes though. Proven that he turned forest around, we could afford him as his stock isn’t high enough for premiership clubs due to recent sackings.
Jump at the chance - I think he would, no one can do any worse than Selles and you’ve got a good championship squad (by the end of the window) that should be doing better.
Whoever comes in next could make a name for themselves.
I certainly don't think that. No sensible person would think that only one person is qualified to manage a football club.I might be wrong, but I’m reading between a few lines based on your posting history. You seem to be insinuating that Wilder is the only person that could manage the club. If that was the case it effectively means that the club is an irredeemable basket case.
Why wouldn’t Cooper’s come but Farke would.Cooper wouldn't come. Neither would Dyche. Even if they did we wouldn't meet their wage demands. These are the only two names that I've heard mentioned, but I don't see them as realistic.
If Leeds sack Farke I'd see him as an option, but again wages will be an issue. We've given Selles a three year contract so getting rid of him won't be cheap. We're probably still paying Wilder too.
Actually if it comes down to money Wilder will probably be among the cheapest options. Not that COH will want him back.
When managers become bigger than clubs there’s problems for everyone.
I don’t disagree, but we’d have probably been postponing something similar to what we have now, as I’ve said elsewhere. Anyway, he’s gone so it’s irrelevant anyway. I suppose the real question is whether the club needed to change. I think it did. The execution of that change is another matter though. Although change is always difficult without short term pain.I certainly don't think that. No sensible person would think that only one person is qualified to manage a football club.
I do think that if we'd kept Wilder the start wouldn't have been so disastrous.
That is putting it mildly!I’ll admit I didn’t want Chris to go. I’ll admit I’d have him back. I realise it’s probably not going to happen.
But the clique on here that seem to take a pride in disassociating from him. Can you tell me just one thing that Selles has done so far that gives you even a glimmer of hope?
So far I see…
No pattern
No progressive press
Players disinterested
Players out of position (Cannon WTF)
Lack of fight
Tactically we look a mess
I’m sort of thinking with Chris he had targets in his mind and the team at this stage would have been a whole lot tighter?
Whatever you say these changes so far couldn’t really have been worse we are literally rock bottom below Wednesday it’s mind blowing.
At least it isn't turgidThat is putting it mildly!
The football is lethargically, non-descript, non-organised, non-systemised garbage.
