I assume your user name is not intended to be ironic?
How so? If a player is good enough they can slot straight into a team. Given that we're playing RND and Bindon with Peck covering, if he's worth anywhere near the obligation fee he should be good enough. Do you think we would have been worse with Soumare then we've been without him?

No losing to Sunderland when 1-0 up and shutting up shop for the second half cost him his job.
That was Wilder all season. Championship season was great but he lost to all the bigger teams due to his shite tactics.
Can't argue with the screw up in the playoff final, but it would be difficult to say he had a bad season getting us 92 points and a solid defence.

This first game won't define our season, but if you enjoy Kevin Keegan-ball, like we've witnessed today, I think you'll be in for a surprise when we don't get even closer to 92 points.

I know. The danger is always there trying something new.
Wilder no doubt did well but I’m pretty sure the new owners were banking on Utd winning the final and we blew it.

If we don’t sign any proper defenders we will struggle big time.

Last season;

RND - nowhere near the team as he's not good enough
Robinson - nowhere near the team till Souttar got injured, not good enough
Brooks - not 1st team as he's not consistent enough

Bindon is only a young kid, should only be played sparingly till he's up to speed, not thrown it at the deep end.

I can't work out what we're trying to do and that's on the manager, but his hands have been tied recruitment wise.

I think we'll make some signings and this result may be instrumental in forcing the owners hand. I just hope Hamer and Cooper don't see what's coming and jump ship

We're just as bad as venerable as we feared, but for me no surprise that a make shift defence gets this result.

Those 10 mins in the first half were fun at least!

Bindon is very highly rated and would have been good partnering with Anel.
That’s all screwed up now.

disastrous 1st 5 mins 2nd half killed the game as a contest. but to say they are 4-1 up. Bristol city's goal has lead a charmed life. im not sure how weve only scored 1

as i said earlier. its sad to see RND level drop so quickly & look so out of his depth. when he was so good in 2022 pre injury. being the major reason for the 2nd 3rd & 4th goal

but at least this will accelerate the need to buy a new CB, as RND i highly expect will be out the door now
