Well, Bristol City are a top top football team and that's all there is to it. It will be a very hard game, maybe the hardest of the season, especially with us under prepared as per usual. Keeping the score down should be the focus here but if we can go one better that will be...... it will be a proud moment

Looking forward to the season getting going at last.

Lack of options in defence is a concern at present, but we were in a similar position at this point last season. Only got bodies in one or 2 days before the opening game.

I'm anticipating a start for Soumaré and Barry, and probably have Ukaki on the bench. Possibly Jeff as well depending on what options Selles wants to have available.

Funny in a way that our first home game this season is the same opponent as the last home game last season. Can't really compare performances though as both teams have a new manager, with different tactics, and different players available to them. Reckon Brizzle overachieved a bit last season though, mostly due to nobody around them being able to nail down a play off place.

Hopefully we can play on the front foot, and control the game via our offensive strengths, rather than allowing them to exploit any defensive weaknesses.

I reckon we'll look good in parts and show some promising signs, but due to the new system it'll probably seem a bit disjointed so we'll also have poor spells. We'll struggle towards the end of the game when we're tired, looking to the bench and there's not a lot of depth.

We'll have enough to win, but it won't be overly convincing and will raise a few questions and highlight some weak areas.

No one asked for my prediction but there it is, so I can refer back to it when I'm completely wrong.

Depends if he thinks Soumare is ready
2 CB,s and a RB needed personally until the defensive issue is sorted I'd like us to keep the 4-2-3-1 .

I'm a bit more confident now Robbo is going to be available (albeit not match fit).

Bristol City have a fair few out (they always seem to!) so on paper it should be a win. I'm wary because it's the first game of the season and we have a new manager/formation/system.

Reckon it will be close, either win by a goal or draw. I reckon there's no way Soumare should start so we're going to be very susceptible at the back. I'll go 2:2.
