Been an underwhelming summer, hangover from the end of last season, there's a sense of 'meh' about the club in general.
Needs a bit of fizz injecting.

I think that’s driven by your own perception of our activity, as I can’t think of anything said by anyone at the club that would lead you to that conclusion.

As far as I can see we’ve had a strong pre-season and we look like we have a decent chance again this year if we can bring in a few more decent players between now and the end of the month.

I'm no bed wetter but its not bed wetting to have a degree of concern about the current inbalance between sales and purchases - surely. Look at the facts...Souza, Anel and Kiefer sold....we have an untried, untested CDM replacement.. a promising but again, untested CF (one) probably a replacement but who knows...and no cover at centre half after selling our best player in that position. Yes, I realise the transfer window is still open but the season starts on SATURDAY. Ffs this season will be harder than last imo and at present we are looking weaker. I'm all for transition and I'll be there no matter what but it is a concern. Prove me wrong.

At present no one knows whether your views are well founded or not. When the window closes it will be much easier to make a valued judgement.
At this stage last season we were in a mess and some thought we might be relegated ! Late signings and the JTW gave us a really good squad.

You’re comparing the spoils of 2 full windows against one barely halfway through, for a new manager that had to spend the first few weeks assessing the squad. And they were all late additions. Gilchrist signed 7th August, Souttar 6th August, Rak-Sakyi 16th August. Holding and Choudhury signed in the last few days of the January window. Chill

Not bed wetting personally as the window is still open but a little concern is understandable.

Think we'll score goals but more than likely struggle for clean sheets. The CB position seems to have been a problem since the JOC days as in permanent good enough players.

There's a huge difference between a little concern, which I'm sure even the most positive Blades share right now, and being an utter bedwetter like plenty on here are!

Id rather our owners show the intent they promised in taking over and back their new manager with some solid permanent signings at the start of pre season, so they can get used to the way of playing.. not in August so they can take a month of getting match fit!

I think there’s a misunderstanding about the bedwetter accusations. For me anyway it’s not everyone who has legitimate concerns, ie CB desperately needed, not much happening, times running out etc, but those who will find a negative in every single thing the club do, or don’t do! The aggressive incontinents.

Will you be starting a similar 'Official Deludamol' thread too, where all the promises of the wonderful players we will have by the end of the window, how forward thinking RS's style is, and how sutomatic promotion is all but nailed on, can be confined to one thread?

That way, those of us not quite convinced by the second coming, can just ignore your back slapping love in thread.
