O’Neill has links to Terry Robinson. Sorry I mean Des Taylor.

On the flip side of the argument, last season we played a formation that favoured wingers but only had Brooks, who couldn't command or retain a starting place. Rak-Sayki came on a season long loan and was the same. Wilder crammed square pegs into round holes as he refused to change his formation to suit what he had at his disposal, but expected players to change to suit his system. There is a tiny nagging suspicion that these guys don’t know what the fuck they are doing.
Arne Slot?Problem is, O'Neill is going to have the same issue as any other new manager (which Wilder doesn't have), is that he has to build a rapport with the players and he has to do it quickly, Moore aside, none of them have worked with him previously.
O'Neil needs to reign in his post match comments a bit if he wants to be taken serious as a manager. Sometimes he makes valid points regarding VAR, added time, the Premier League biase towards bigger clubs, but when he makes these valid points he sounds like a flat earther! Like others have said I thought he did a decent job at Bournemouth given the difficult situation they were in. Wolves biggest problem under him was the number of goals they conceded from set pieces, something O'Neil did address in the media. We can relate to that given how poor we've been defending them in recent seasons.I actually thought O'Neill did pretty well at Bournemouth keeping them in the league after their disastrous start under Parker. Iraola has put that into perspective though.
His time at Wolves wasn't great. Not sure what to think of him now.
AyeIf my aunt had a cock, she’d be my unclewhat’s your point?
How do you know our owners will throw infinity random players at him? We've no idea how this summer will play out with regards to transfers, so let's not assume.I think O'Neil is a promising manager tbh but I'd prefer Cooper - but I doubt he'll be interested in working with owners throwing infinity random players at him again, especially if the quality isn't even high

That 9th placed finish was 5 years ago. Wilder shouldn't be allowed to ride the coattails of that season for half a decade, just because he's also a Blade.Anybody wanting Wilder out is deluded. The club is where it is now, purely down to Wilder. 3rd division, for 6 years, under numerous managers. Wilder comes in, wheels and deals, gets us to 9th in the Premier and still people moan. Of course makes mistakes. Pep Guardiola makes mistakes, doesn't make him a bad manager. Be careful what you wish for![]()
Compare and contrast with Thomas Frank who not only kept Brentford in the EPL but has evolved their style at least 3 times and regularly changes formation and tactics during games. They have continued to progress despite losing players like Toney. They still have a budget that should see them relegated. We stayed up on confidence and momentum that had built up from the three prior seasons and a rock solid defence. We struggled to score goals, only 39 in 38 games and we failed to score altogther in many matches. We also had a unique system that teams couldn't figure out, but they did in the end and we stuck with it anyway.
I like Mousinho too and would also put him ahead of O'Neil.Dyche, Hessenhuttl,
Cooper & Pompey boss Mousinho to name a few would be in front of ONeil for me
The COH guys (Guessing mainly influenced by Des Taylor) are big fans of Gary O'Neill.
Many want to stick with him as he is what they want to be, or areThat 9th placed finish was 5 years ago. Wilder shouldn't be allowed to ride the coattails of that season for half a decade, just because he's also a Blade.
While Wilder is heavily responsible for many of our most recent successes, he hasn't delivered any more, for any team, in a meaningful amount of time. If he's now only capable of delivering high positions in the Championship without getting promoted (which, ignoring all the debate about performances and such, is exactly what he has delivered this season), then why would we stick with him, when the ultimate goal is to be an established PL side?
That's disingenuous, we all know it would likely have been higher than 9th had Covid not torpedoed our momentum.Granted he got us to 9th in a freak COVID season.
You have it there,’knows the club’ ‘he gets it’ ‘he’s a blade’ ‘got Pashun’ ‘took us to a 9th place finish’. It’s boring and predictable from some of ours. I thought that lot of scrubbers lived in the past but quite a few of ours are drifting that way. I’ll say it again, that football in his second tenure has been nothing short of laborious, passive, square pegs in round holes, disjointed, embarrassing manager antics I’ve seen since Mickey Adam’s.So it seems the wilder replacement candidates are already written off because they weren’t born within 25 miles of the club.
