I think there's every chance he goes imminently tbh. I don't think the owners will be overly happy with the way last season ended up going. I imagine Chris isn't overly happy about how transfers will go either with the data driven approach, and the owners will be less inclined to let him have his own way after the binfire of January. And let's be honest, new owners aren't famed for their patience.
The contract extension was a massive mistake considering the compensation that will be due, but given how much we had to pay in fines last season due in part to Wilder not having control and pouring petrol on the fire of PASHUN, I think they'll view severance pay as money well spent.
I'm mixed on it. If he stays, I'll not mind, but worry we'll be somewhat stale. If he goes, and depending on his replacement, I'll be happy to see a new direction for the club.
