I doubt very much that they listen to S24su. They can make up their own minds, based on what they've seen since they took over. It's all there.

I just want a bit of entertaining , exciting football. 90 (92) points and can count on one hand (maybe a mutant 6 finger hand) the number of games we truly bossed. It was a much better season on paper than from the stands.

Wilder knows how to win at this level, no doubt.. but given the strength and cost of our squad, I'd like to see "the beautiful game" at BDTBL for a bit. It would make the grim reality of a season in the Prem far more bearable.

The key stat for me from last year was "10th in the league for Big Chances created".

Me too - hence the name on here. I know we've seen far worse, but that 4th Div season was among the most enjoyable of my life. Not that I'm at all suggesting it again any time soon

Well I nailed my colours to the mast at this time last year - I was firmly behind Wilder. The main reason for this was because he's got a proven track record with next to fuck all to spend and obviously we had a major rebuild with the old ownership still running the show.

Things are different now. If the new owners plan to splash the cash to not only get us over the line but look to build on that in the medium term, then, for me, Wilder is not the man. As his track record shows he is shit with real money. He rarely touches the foreign market and sticks to what he knows and believes.

Don't get me wrong I have a lot of time for Wilder and his management methods - what he's done over the 9 years (with obvious departure) has been fantastic and for that he will always be held in the highest regard by me. He's up there will the best managers we've had in my 60 odd years life time and truly deserves this recognition for the rest of his days. He should be welcomed back to the Lane till the day he dies. BUT, as I said, things change in football and I now think the time is right for a change of manager and methods.

Perhaps, but I certainly expected us to finish mid table and wouldn't have been surprised to see a relegation fight. I could be wrong, but I think that was a common view at the start of the season.

Well as two of them are young and come from Bulgaria, the other from Peru, what do you expect me to think? If the signings were for experienced internationals then fair enough. We need 3/4 quality additions ready to go straight into the team. So far the signings from AI are not convincing me that these are ready now to go in. Maybe the fact Wilder never played Cecares has gone against him also. He's 23 in September but never played for Peru who are not a good side I might add.

I've been posting the same information for some time now and alot of people are just not interested in "the real world", I think it's called "in denial". Just like only 4 British managers/coaches in the Premier League.

I think there's every chance he goes imminently tbh. I don't think the owners will be overly happy with the way last season ended up going. I imagine Chris isn't overly happy about how transfers will go either with the data driven approach, and the owners will be less inclined to let him have his own way after the binfire of January. And let's be honest, new owners aren't famed for their patience.

The contract extension was a massive mistake considering the compensation that will be due, but given how much we had to pay in fines last season due in part to Wilder not having control and pouring petrol on the fire of PASHUN, I think they'll view severance pay as money well spent.

I'm mixed on it. If he stays, I'll not mind, but worry we'll be somewhat stale. If he goes, and depending on his replacement, I'll be happy to see a new direction for the club.

I think as a good poster you could see beyond the Wilder situation and think that top signings are unlikely to be made until the managerial situation is sorted one way or another. Suggesting we’re only going to sign unproven young players isn’t a defence of CW, it’s just a dig at the board who may be getting rid. Based on next to nothing as of now.

Seems there was a mixture of looking at players that will/should improve the first team, and some punts from foreign leagues that hopefully will improve.

Not sure I'd agree we are now AI first because our most recent signing was a foreign punt.
