There's plenty out there, we could go for:

Free:
Carrick
Sahin
Cooper
Selles
Farioli

Farioli intrigues me not sure if he'd suit us , football is possession based and sounds a but like heckys tippy tappy play
Selles bit on the fence
Sahin experience in German football

Nixon wrote months ago we were going AI "first" which seemed a little ott to most..
Did it? What are you basing that on? I’m guessing that given where you live you don’t speak with many Blades on a regular basis and so are one of the least qualified to expound on the general views of the fans.

Leeds conceded less chances than Burnley across the season, a less shite keeper and they would have put up similar numbers. As it is, they broke the Championship previous goals conceded record anyway, until Burnley bettered it. And see how they do once Trafford is gone.
Leeds fan?

Yeah, please not one of the new Manager Merry Go rounders. Needs to be someone that brings genuine quality and fresh approach. Following CW will be a tough gig so whoever does the job needs to be seen to have a plan, a style and a footballing 'voice'.

A lad I know came in the pub last night who had been golfing at Abbeydale, he knows loads of other members and he showed me a text message from two ex united players saying Wilder has had to cancel because of an emergency board meeting , it said he was not happy about the recent signing because he was not involved.

I suspect this is central to the whole issue. New owners want to instil a modern structure and CW can't work within that. It needs to happen, all the evidence shows it's the way things should be done.
What evidence would you say has emerged since they gave him a new contract?

I've got a bad feeling about this if it's true

I was on board with sacking him, but I'm not so sure now, and if he was being sacked it should have been done already

He would have reliably built a very strong squad if allowed to get on with it this summer. After that..... question marks. But he would build a good squad and at this point should be allowed to get on with it

A lot can go wrong for us. Given the approach these owners seem to want to take, we could be entering a very risky situation, from what was a very safe if uninspiring one where we could be very confident of being in the top 6 and probably top 3 - which is something we should never take for granted

If he does go we should aim for a degree of continuity, in which case Cooper is probably the smart choice

You don't think going fully AI only is a little ott?

Pardon I clearly didn't interview every single blade but most people in football supporting groups are still not totally against a little bit of old school scouting 🙄

It's pretty weird how Flat Earth Symon and our pretend ITKers have this before any journalists.

More the evidence around all PL clubs and around 70% of Champ clubs using the DoF>Manager structure. Nothing specific about United.

So in January he gets a contract from our new owners till 2028.
With a complete team rebuild consisting of recent academy boys and loans,
he gets us an unbelievable points total of 92 points.
We lose the play offs to a chalked off goal.
And RUMOURS spring up he's been sacked.
Personally I'd be very surprised if this happens. I think it's highly unlikely at this moment.

It feels like a strange time for this to happen if it does.

Even our pre season friendlies seem "Wilderery" (its a real word, ask AI)

Wilder would have known a few weeks ago that going forward AI would be making these types of signings, nothing has changed.

If they had wanted to replace him, I wouldn't have been moaning about it, although I think as it stands he is the person I want in the role. But do it straight away.

Imagine if the pigs manager Rohl was announced, dont expect it to happen but just, for a minute with the shambles in S6 imagine the absolute mayhem it would cause 😝😝
Not for me..we don't need somebody else that divides the fan base.

I sacked off the season ticket when he left last time.

IF it true that he's gone, and the rumours are mounting up, I'd love to see someone like Sahin, previously at B Dortmund or Blessin from St Pauli. Blessin has done really well to keep them in 1 Bundesliga, has a great style of attacking football and could, possibly, bring Jackson Ervine, his captain along too. If you want a good example of a club that is really connected to its fan base and the city of Hamburg. I think Blessin was named as a possibility under our previous ownership too.

I may also get my season ticket back on.

Interesting weekend ahead folks.
