I've heard whispers that Holding (visibly injured or at least had a problem before going off) and Hamer (always Donald Ducked before the end) are injured. (Seen tweets)
So can't understand one of the few team related posts.
I would attack every week so this game is no exception and as every sane football person know you ATTACK WIDE defend narrow.
We CANNOT play this **** 4-2-3-1 system against a good team who attack wide like Burnley and have ZERO cover for either fullback as happens every week - although swapping Jesus and Hamer for their correct sides would improve matters off the scale even with their negligible defending skills - but FFS at least let them try to use their best foot to do it.
With Hamer out Seriki is our best wide right attacking player but you'd want him at fullback unless Gilchrist was fit and hope they could last as long as possible.
I'd have two up front every week so for me that's BBD and Campbell with Moore and Brewster as they tire and/or need a late winner.
But most of all I'd like a good manager not this **** Wilder
In the absence of facts on fitness I'd be going

Cooper
Holding Anel (sweeper/attacker) Robinson (long diagonals as at Millwall for Hamer) - with Gilchrist option on when Holding others DD'd
Seriki Peck Vini Bookes Burrows
Hamer (or Jesus)
BBD

and leave those two up front FFS ie half way line.

and have Wilder whingeing about 6 under 22 as he did the first half of the season as if 22 is a youngster
With variations re 442 etc based on players available and need for a late winner.
Reluctant not to start Moore as he as well as Sooty was key to our defensive strength as was Gilchrist despite his lack of height.

McCallum reserve wing back lef side midfield.
Struggling without Davis or even Shackleton up wide right.
Hope Gilchrist can appear/bench not Clarke FFS.
Choudhury only in extremis in midfield told to tackle for his life
Cannon and Ohare only if hell is freezing over.

I suspect I shall be in mourning again tomorrow.

We’d be playing Seriki and Burrows in their best positions to get wide and get crosses in, for Campbell and BBD, who would also be in their better positions.

We've barely competed in the three previous games against Leeds and Burnley this season and I can't see why this would be any different.

Just a couple of weeks ago, a lot of us were realistically hoping to go into this game with a four point cushion to Burnley, that seems crazy now.

What might have been, eh?
