The sky sports studio looked gutted. Thought some fucka had shot the studio cat the way they looked so crestfallen.

Ha ha ha ha ha ha.

I did enjoy that moment.
They did didn’t they

They were playing the Copa Cabana when Leeds went 2-1 up .

you know i was just looking & 1 thing we had forgotten about pressure wise. is us & burnley been there done it multiple times getting automatic promotion. we know exactly that there will be twists & turns.

Leeds havent so are more likely to panic. i looked & the last time they secured automatic promotion with fans attending was 2010. thats a long time & fans will be pessimistic

Please substitute " we're all Blades and expect it to fuck up for us "
And it's true over the many years I've supported my beloved team something has always gone wrong for us !!!

Though most Leeds fans are like our grunting ,mud rooting curly tailed neighbours " premier teams want us there " " we deserve to be there " " bigger better than half the teams there "
I could go on but another set of fans who sat on granddad,s knee hearing tales of glory from 30+ years ago

I turned it off when Leeds got what everyone thought was the winner, and missed the second Meslier howler.

He'd been doing well in recent games. After the penalty save, I imagine many Leeds fans thought that his bad form was behind him and they had a decent keeper on their hands.

Then...whoops!
IMO Swansea’s second goal was not as much a Meslier error as some are making out. The shot is hit low and hard, close to his body and would be difficult to stop for most keepers

It wasn't an easy save to make. I'd be more inclined to blame the guy who gave the ball away by being unable to control a throw in.

I think I agree.

The first is a clanger.

The second looks awful, and the xGOT is 0.03, so you would expect a keeper to make a better fist of it. But it's by no means as bad as Sunderland away, or some of his other issues this year.

Of course the narrative is set because of those other issues. If Cooper lets that one in we probably look at it, chalk it down as one he perhaps should have stopped, and move on. As it's Meslier it just feeds that narrative.

I hope every single team Leeds play here on in pressurise him. It worked for us, he could genuinely cost the promotion/the title.

I think it’s a combo of being a very good finish but pure nerves from meslier, I’d be v disappointed if cooper let that in obviously. Just as much blame goes to the outfielders who let Allen waltz through them.

Yet because he's made so many errors every little thing will add up now. Harsh and ups the pressure on him even more.

Love it.

Apologies if already been posted on here but very bold this.

Can't link it now but Wilder made a comment at the end of last season about how we will 100% be better next (this) season and give the fans something to back. That's aged well.

No other manager in the top three would make this silly comment even if they completely believed it

Luton just need to sling the ball in the air in the box at every opportunity next week and long throws etc

I can see a 2 nowt fuck up for leeds

Hes a full weight cunt always has been, he deserves a fucking for celebrating against us that they'd won the league in Feb the wanker.

Leeds have always been a bit flakey when it comes to crunch time. We are at the point of the season where mentality is as important, if not more so that having the best players.

We just need to look after our own business. Leeds will be looking at us and thinking Sheffield United are just quietly and efficiently winning every week. We will be more in their heads that they are in ours

After analysis, this is terrible photograph.
Not really worthy of a gettyimages ownership.
Strachan's face is out of focus, everything else around is
just meaningless. The actual focal point is his shorts.
It looks like a small ginger haired man, who's obviously
been told to play the part of a muscle man. hence the pose
wearing some white, yellow and blue striped shorts.

Correction
The face is not “out of focus” - that is a perfect representation of the ugly strawberry blonde person of smaller stature

Doughty might be an interesting opponent for Bogle.

He’ll get as give Bogle as good as he gets. Should be an interesting contest that one. Bogle won’t have all his own way and he’ll be defending a fair bit hopefully.

You can also see Morris and Adebayo fancying it against the Leeds centre halves. That lad Aasgard in midfield has something about him too.

They’re playing 23rd but that doesn’t tell the real picture. Luton responded poorly to relegation but they probably kept more of their squad than any team that went down. They definitely have a performance in them.

Just checked the voting on blades player of the year and Messlier is up to 4th
Aye
Has anyone ever been ‘player of the season at 2 clubs (or more) in the same season ? If Dirties miss out on ‘automatic’ promotion Meslier must be in with a shout at both Burnley & SUFC With an additional opportunity to claim a hat- trick with further dropped bollocks (again) vs Slumderland in PO’s

Meslier reminds me of Gary Sprake - generally a good keeper but prone to the occasional error - at least Meslier hasn't managed to throw the ball into his own net (one for the oldies!)
Aye
Unsure he can fully emulate Sprake as chucking it in your own net requires having the ball in your hands in the 1st instance 🤔

He’s also unlikely to fuck up @ a Wembley final ?

Burnley are a bit like us in that they just seem to be able to grind out a win even if they’re not playing that well.
Leeds are very much feast or famine in terms of performance. When they’re on it they’re much easier on the eye football wise than either of us other two but they just seem to have a rick in them. I still think they’ll finish top but I do have some doubts now.
A lot is made of Burnley’s defensive record and the fact they’ve only lost twice.

Football is about entertainment and winning, though Parker could legitimately argue it’s about accumulating points.

They have lost 4 fewer losses than us. Bravo. But we’ve also won 4 more than them.

I’d much rather our mentality to be honest. Ok, we might occasionally come unstuck but I do like my teams to go for it.

Most wins in a season is 31, Reading in 05/06.

So get 5 more and we equal it. I’d happily see us beat it though!

It's crazy that we could equal or beat the record number of wins and still not go up! Highly unlikely though. Still plenty of twists and turns in this run-in...
