Pay as you play or nothing.
Might be unpopular in South Wales however if he is available on a free, I could see Wrexham bringing him in, they would be able to offer sensible Championship terms too. He isn’t going to take a pay as you play he isn’t a car park. He is a 25 year old that has been unlucky with injuries but showing that he has a poachers finish 2 games with similar goals. Not the hardest of finishes but still needs to be tucked away

Putting his injuries aside, do we really think his recent contribution would continue in the Premier League? He's essentially a luxury player in that role. I doubt Wilder would play the same way with 4 attacking players. And he can't play upfront on his own. So....

I'd say his finish today was v good. They get missed often.

It all depends on what wages it takes to keep him. He’s worth having, but he’s not irreplaceable. I imagine we’ll make him an offer commensurate with the value he brings, and he can take it or leave it.
It’s a difficult balance although I wouldn’t be against a 2 year option and if needed look to loan him out next year. Ultimately it depends on the cash we have to spend and where are priorities lie. We probably need 5/6 players especially after the this years loans depart. Some can be replaced with loans but even so it’s a good £50-80mill possibly more just to have that chance if we go up to try and sneak up. Guaranteed Wolves will be investing so the gap will grow further. Are we happy with a championship side again and enjoying the occasional win and being highly competitive in the championship on the alternative season. We plough in £100million in the summer we might need more in January and if we stay up we need to improve again. Not sure how endless our new owners pot of dosh is

Nice to see him staying fit. Been working hard for the team and coming up with a couple of goals. I'm not against him having a new contract as looks like he's working hard. Definitely could get better players. But definitely worth keeping round.

He's shown that when he's fit and in form he's still a really good player. Re-signing him is a no-brainer, imo.

Getting a deal done shouldn't be too complicated either since I believe he's grateful that the club has stuck with him and has given him the chance to bounce back from his injuries. Would be surprised if he refuses to sign on a reasonable contract.
