Wilder really is a bottle merchant.

Again better options imo would have been McCallum to shore up the left or Holding to go into a 5 to bring organisation and aerial prowess. We didn't and inevitably our weakness in the air and at the back against raw pace were highlighted again.

Really disappointing after a good hour where we didn't look out of place at the divisions top table. Game management killed us and that has to be a concern.
I’d have brought on McCallum and Holding to try to hold onto the 1-1. This forum would then have actually set itself on fire with abuse of Wilder for ‘bottling it’ and ‘sitting back’ instead of getting Hamer on and going for the win. In truth, I think the most probable outcome was a Leeds winner regardless of the subs made or tactics employed, which makes the vehement criticism of the manager a bit redundant really.

Key word you used there was ‘tempo’. Teams can only dictate the tempo of a game in possession of the ball, whether it’s speeding it up or slowing it down. First half an hour we had plenty of possession and upped the tempo and Leeds couldn’t handle it. When we inevitably sit back on a lead we give up ball possession and so can’t slow down the tempo to suit us. Maybe we don’t have the skill set to slow down the game when in possession of the ball.
It’s the old brain versus brawn equation…we’re either not clever enough to dictate a full 90+ minutes…or simply not fit enough.
You obviously have to factor the quality of the opposition as well. We got away with it against Derby, Pompey and Luton…Not so lucky against Leeds.

His in game management and subs against Leeds were questionable at best. His subs today were a tad confusing, there was a good 10min spell where 3 of the lads were playing out of position.
Is he a ‘bottle job’? No I don’t think so… but I believe it’s fair to question his decisions from time to time.

Pretty sure that’s something you could say about any manager on the planet given no one gets everything right all of the time…

Exactly… that’s why the criticism is justified. The caveat to that of course is there’s no need to go over the top as some have done. It’s fair to point out mistakes, we all make them. It’s not fair to be abusive whilst doing it.
Wilder gets some things wrong (we all do) but he’s only human… and we all should be happy with how we’re doing right now!

Carry on and I'll tickle your undercarriage.

Threat or treat? I'll let you decide.
Parked up in the camper at Bracey Bridge.
There are several other vans here.
Steve is parked here too and he's a notorious axe welding mentalist.
Only clue for you. We don't have an upside down pineapple.
Come play camper knocking lotto.
There's a beer if you win. 😁

Fantastic win and management today.

The fans sung and backed CW in the away end 👍
It’s always the same there’s a few on here who just hate on Wilder and Sheffield United in general. Some are secret pigs and some are just a wind up.

Every game you go too the fans are fully behind Wilder. I’ve seen him out after matches and everyone loves the bloke as he’s one of our own.

The problem for me are his subs always seem to be square pegs in round holes (a phrase Wilder himself used when he took over the first time). Hate it when Diaz goes onto the right, Hamer is on the left instead of a 10, and playing Choudhury at RB, and Davies as winger??
Baffling.

How would you know with our passive fans? There’s the occasional bit of chanting on the kop but given how bad the atmosphere is I really couldn’t tell what 90% of fans think at home matches.
