Yep, offensive subs and it’s Wilder should have gone defensive. Goes defensive and it’s Wilder should have gone offensive.,.

Fella can’t win with some

What he can win though is football games and he’s taking us up 👌
That's because going defensive when you're doing alright attacking is fucking stupid when your defence is fucking shit

huge win that, kept up the good form from Middlesbrough & most of leeds after what would be huge blow monday. to pick them bavk & with the results. undone alot of the damage from monday night. despite everything. in points achieved & excluding the points deduction. leeds have only achieved 1 more point than us despite it being agreed they are far superior

what i didnt realise how good QPR were at home they came into this having won 7 of their last 8 home games. we controlled that game & wouldve been more comfortable if we taken the chances for a 3rd & QPR hadnt got the very soft penalty. that felt like it was going back to the old handball rule

You are not seeing Peck and Souza being better than Norwood and Fleck?

You are not seeing Cooper being batter then Wes

You are not seeing Campbell being better than McBurnie?
not as a collective i’m not, again on paper they obviously are although if both teams were to play each other it would most likely be a draw

Seriously what do you want, apart from the attention that you get from ridiculous posts like this. I take it you are one of the few who would prefer an entertaining performance as opposed to a win 🤷🏻‍♂️
Its probably quite evident from my post what I want.

To celebrate mediocrity is not healthy and rewards complacency instead of improvement. Not acknowledging the need for improvement is more damaging than helpful. It masks the need for improvement and development and the performances this season are of a poor standard. Points are great but it’s 50% of the game. To achieve long term success you need the other bits, style of play, tactics etc. Without it we come straight back down next season in an embarrassing fashion again.

For the record, when we’ve been good i praise the team/manager. I just don’t blindy praise us weekly because I think it’ll make me a better ‘fan’. I wouldn’t do that at work or to family/friends for the reasons above.

I’m a SUFC fan and want us to be the best we can. If i think we should be better i’ll call it out. Today there were lots of misplaced passes, lots of hoofing clear, lack of composure, inability take control of the game and putting unnecessary defensive pressure on ourselves through poor tactics.

You must be very drunk to think we controlled that game!

How is winning and getting another 3 points mediocre? How is points only 50% of the game? Until they bring in extra points based on performance that is completely irrelevant. Your reply says it all to be honest. You give no credit to the opposition we play against regardless of their position in the league. Remember we play against 11+ professional footballers every week, who go out to perform the best they can. Just like the majority of us do every working day of the week. You just seem to think we’re entitled to play how we want in any game, dominate and expect them to lay down and get their tummy tickled. QPR is one of the most difficult grounds to go to. They are a good team at home.
They make life difficult. We don’t have a team of world class players who can work their way around that all the time. I think I’ll just stick to celebrating a win because I think it’ll make me a better “supporter”. Also I think I’ll stick with and back the manager, staff and players with their decisions etc as they have far more experience, qualifications, skills etc than the rest of us. That’s my opinion and you are quite entitled to have yours.

We’ve been like this all season

To be where we are is quite remarkable and somewhat confusing and contradictory- but - carry on

Defending for our lives like we are playing against Liverpool, embarrassing. Painful to watch this crap sometimes. We are a cliche of our old industrial reputation. We got the win and looking healthy at the top of the league but lots to improve on in that performance.

Campbells strike was a moment of real quality, otherwise lots of improvements needed.
Defending for our lives ??
What a wetwipe

It is. Portsmouth at home, Luton away and today are just some examples. Some things in life are just meant to happen!

That's another goal & assist today from someone who hasn't been lauded in the match reports either.

Against Leeds I thought BBD & Campbell linked up beautifully. If they can get a run of games together I reckon we'll be a force for automatics or playoffs.
They seem like a natural partnership, There is a difference in style, Campbell is clinical and BBD will knock his grandmother over to get a chance at goal. But otherwise, they have very similar skillsets and because they are both comfortable all across the forward line they can really dovetail and complement each other. Suddenly we become very very dangerous on the counter attack and if we ever end up with a two up top system, they would be an absolute nightmare for any defence.

Another at times frustrating performance with so much sloppy passing. That said when you look at QPRs home record recently, it was never going to be a walk in the park.
Cannot knock this side’s ability to get 3 points - particularly away from home - when they haven’t been as comfortable as you would expect and like.
Whatever you think of Wilder, this team is clearly full of character, bottle and desire.
Of course he gets things wrong at times, team selective, substitutions etc. What manager doesn’t?
We would all like a bit more style and swagger. Wilder has previously had us playing the best football I have ever seen in my 40years of watching the Blades. This side is a lot more pragmatic and set out purely to get 3 points, which we have done regularly.

Effectively we should be 1 point behind "far superior" Leeds.

Wilder deserves a meddle the size of a dustbin lid for keeping up with them with our "shit" side with crap like Anel and Robbo etc

I'm honestly not sure what some of you expect or who. You think. You support

Teams been thrown together over two transfer windows with no real pre season and serious fitness issues the fact we are in the top three given Leeds and burnleys squad should be something to be admired, proudof even but no let's moan be cause we only won two one at qpr

What sort of well thought out and reasonable post is that? The Whine & Gripe regulars will be crying in their beer/fruit juice at such thoughts.

Frank, get real and take the blinkers off. Yes, Wilder will get us promoted and he deserves credit for that, but he is not the correct person to manage United in the premiership. Just look at the ages, coaching badges, and the background of the majority of the current managers in the premiership, and it is blatantly obvious that Wilders success in getting 110% out of players to achieve success is no no longer the way forward. Maybe the long term contract from the new owner's is a double whammy, because if he is sacked because of his failing in the premiership, he will be paid a huge gratitude for getting them there.

So you saying we need a manager that doesn't get 110% out of players but but has loads of coaching badges.

Oh, and the person who got me and my brother corporate hospitality was none other than Lee Hoos, QPR Chairman. He thought my comment that Daniel Farke looks like a homeless Stephen Hendry was hilarious, and I also told him that the benchmark for all attendance discussions on this Forum is Wednesday’s “Three-thousand to QPR on a Friday night”.

Maybe it's just that current PL managers with all their coaching badges just manage clubs that are able to pay much, much more for high quality players.
Maybe not so much the coaching but the players you have playing for you?
