Poor ground, poor playing surface and small pitch plus the giants up front does not add up to an easy win in my book. I would take a draw.
I certainly wouldn’t, not too sure how a team 2nd in the division should be happy with a point against the team bottom of the division. It would be a bad result with Leeds and QPR to follow.

So 5-0 based on the scorers my friend? 😉

It will be interesting to see what team Wilder goes for today. I like the idea of a settled team… all the best teams know their best starting eleven. But with Leeds coming up I feel like we have one or two things to consider. Apart from potential injuries to consider, we have two players who are arguably better defenders than those currently in the starting XI in Gilchrist and Holding.
This goes against my normal rationale, but I think we could see up to 5 changes for the trip to Luton.

For example:

Cooper
Gilchrist Holding JLT Burrows
Hamza Peck
JRS O’Hare BBD
Campbell

UTB… a win and we’re back on top ⚔️

Why we going so defensive against <checks notes> Luton?!

Attack is the best form of defensive.

Start hard and fast from minute 1 as we did against Boro and go for the jugular!

Hard and fast is <checks notes> how I like it! 🤣

The theory being that we might want Gilchrist and Holding back up to / up to speed for the Leeds game.

Maybe my post wasn’t clear… I said it would be interesting to see what Wilder goes for. It’s not my preferred team (I’d like to see the same team as Boro bar Cannons injury) I was just thinking outside the box. It wouldn’t surprise me at all… I often believe Wilder over thinks things at times!

Fair enough haha.

I can't see Clarke being dropped, he really became Bogle 2.0 against Boro.

Suppose there is a chance Robinson coming out for holding.

Hopefully Wilder doesn't tinker too much, momentum is a big thing.

I think we'll shade it, and win by 1 goal

No chance this will be easy. Even if Luton are shit we'll be very wary of the quality they still have

Any win will do. It's very important with Leeds coming up next

I'd go with...

Cooper
Gilchrist Anel Robinson McCallum
Souza Peck
Sakyi OHare Brereton
Brewster

Try to get Holding serious minutes too

Yeah I think Holding for Robinson eventually will be the way it goes. I’m thinking too much now myself… but I was thinking it gives Anel a rest and then he can cover both RB and CB as the game develops and Holding or Gilchrist tires.

Clarke did look decent against Boro… they all did! But would you rather Clarke or Gilchrist at RB against Leeds?

If I was the manager I’m like you, I’d put out my strongest most settled side every week. If there’s an injury then you deal with that as and when.
Football is definitely a game of momentum, winning becomes a habit! On the flip side Luton have developed the habit of losing, their squad shouldn’t be rock bottom right now but that’s the way it goes!

Would want a couple of changes for rotation and I expect Cannon will be unavailable and even if Hamer’s available I wouldn’t risk him.

Cooper
Gilchrist Holding Anel Burrows
Choudhury Peck
JRS O’Hare BBD
Campbell

Would like to score 3 or 4 goals again
I agree i would possible put Harmer on the bench and put Davis rather than Choudhury in the middle .

This will be a lot tougher than many think. They have a new manager who will gradually be changing things to try & improve results. They have some decent players - so we need to be ‘at it’ exactly like the Boro game or we could struggle. I’ll settle for an ugly 1-0 off someone’s backside now.

me to mate . It ia a problem picking a team now we have the luxury of choices which we have not had before . I would not risk Harmer he could be out for weeks if does his hamstring in . Probably put him on the bench but would try not to use him if possible ,give his place to Davis .

Be a tough game. Lousy pitch, tight 💩ground Opposition wanting to show us they’re as good as when they went up with us and outshone us in PL. Fighting for their lives. Want to put us Norvern Mankeys in our place. Hoofball. Expect midfield to be non existent and Cooper Anel and Robbo to be targeted at corners. All in all a game where the winner will be the team willing to fight to the end so I expect a card or two. Possibly red.
