Does he do pre match stuff for other clubs?

Just switched on Middlesbrough v Sunderland and it sounds like him in the background.
 



I really like Gary. I've been an attending blade 45 years and can't remember him not being there. I do think after he leaves this mortal coil we should replace him with a bot/AI version to keep it going

It's not Gary, but he's a mate of mine as well as G.S and I can tell you he's as born and bred Boro as Gaz is a Blade.

Both are respected by the supporters of their respective clubs.
 
He was completely flabbergasted, and, frankly, a bit of dick, because some young musicians happened to be wearing sunglasses yesterday.
The other week he was completely taken aback by another musician having a double barrelled surname, started calling him posh.
Just stick to the interview and stop trying to belittle the acts who are putting themselves out there.
 
I like Gazza. It's definitely not the proper match day experience when he isn't there. Sometimes at home, I'll even pump out We Took Pelham, followed by Meet Her at the Love Parade, followed by the Star Wars theme, to get the blood pumping. Happy days. By and large.

To be fair, a double barrelled name is a bit posh, he said coyly.

I am still miffed he doesn't announce the away team anymore at kick off. I am not sure he even announced it 30 minutes before kick off yesterday either. Has he been told not to?

It's a strange one, it is a lot worse when Gary isn't there announcing but these issues annoy me.
 



As someone who doesn’t buy a programme, I wish he would announce the away team before kick off.
I did like him calling WBA Norwich, though. That was good.
 
Anybody who objects to Gazza has had their sense of fun and their sense of humour removed. Gazza is a legend, and we’ll all miss him when he hands over to some vanilla pc talking head. The atmosphere was flat when he was having his knee fixed. He’s about more than Blades, he’s about Sheffield - hence why he gives a push to some local sheffield bands every week.

The scorer for the Blades was…own goal!
Yes Norwich do play in green & yellow as well!
You can borrow reading glasses from us whenever you want!!!

When he did that we were singing most of the GCB after the match had started. With players’ names on shirts I don’t see that it’s needed anyway.
 
Could be wrong but I think there was a rule change recently which means the away team doesn’t need to be read out by the stadium announcers.
