They were really hoping, initially convinced, he’d turn down a chance of promotion to the Premier league and instead stay there to fight a relegation battle
Because apparently, he really loves playing for Stoke City FC.

Seen the Stoke forum and it’s quite mixed. Some matches Cannon is great, other matches he’s been really poor….done nothing.

The general feeling seems style wise, he’s a bit like a young Billy Sharp.
Ie Doesn’t do a right lot apart from score but he needs to be supplied with chances….so as you say we need to stay patient if he has poor games.
Basically he’s a proper striker who plays on the shoulder of the last defender and always looks to shoot instead of passing.

Good signing. Looks like a smart finisher. We need the competition and the different options. Campbell looks really sharp and motivated in his appearances since coming back from injury. If we can close out a midfielder and a centre half we it will be a great window.

Agree mate…..I remember Edwards too and Billy is the nearest I’ve seen to him…..style wise.
Also agree Edwards was incredibly lazy….he used to admit it himself….but it was a different time where strikers didn’t need to close down or track back.
