Seen it mentioned in bits around socials, but Souza was in real trouble with his groin. Couldn't run properly and couldn't kick it without wincing greatly and needing a moment afterwards. I watched just him for the remaining minutes of the game once I saw him go down. It's really not good. I've done my groin before, and it all came flooding back when I recognised how he was running stiff legged to try to not use the muscle. You don't usually do that if it's just a mild strain. I don't think he will be playing again this week as a minimum. Groins do not heal rapidly at all.

I'm guessing we will drop Hamer in alongside Peck. Peck to do the Vini role. Hamer the more playmaking, advancing CM. O'Hare in the 10 and Brooks on the LW?

UTB
My feeling we wont see him until after Plymouth

I can't stand 5 at the back it just invites sides onto us. Weve had the best defence in the league and all we need to do to keep that intact is to bring Robbo in for Anel. Why change a winning formula as it will mean a new formation and new players, why not just go new playera?

Assuming rhe worst injury wise I'd go with
Cooper
Gilchrist Souttar Robbo Burrows
Rak Sayki Peck Hamer Brooks
Ohare
Campbell (One if Cambell unfit)
A good side but, yet another one picking Souttar and Hamer when they both need rest. Oxford is probably the best game to give players much needed recovery time.
If we do drop points, take it out of Anels wages!

Hamer just had international break off?

Souttar definitely needs a rest but what would you do, play with 2 new centre backs? As said elsewhere Hamer just had with weeks off and if we take him out of the team we lose our most creative player.

We can't assume Oxford is a gimme as we could come unstuck and Sunderland is going to be difficult no matter who is in the team. We need at least 3 points from the next 2 games and beating Oxford is the easiest way to get them

Hamers had lots of time off. He's been on the bench abit too.
I reckon he has been carrying a knock for most of this season. That’s why you see him on the bench from time to time. Like Souttar, he is seen as too valuable to rest properly. I hope it doesn’t backfire on them, and lead to a prolonged lay off.

That’s one way of looking at it. I would rather drop points to Oxford, and win the Sunderland game. Souttar does need a break, whatever the consequences. Hamer is at risk too, but that’s ok. Just play both until they are spent! 🤷‍♂️

We need Souttar.
Hope he's been resting since Saturday

Some good news tonight in that the fears over Souza , Hamer , JRS & Campbell proved groundless and Tom Davies managed a bizarrely short few minutes on the pitch.

So , in terms of current absences :

Blaster , for the season
Anel , for 2 more games
Moore , mystery
Brewster , bigger mystery

Total 4 , is that correct ?

Moore not a mystery has a calf strain.Brewsters latest set back not doing his future any good .It's turning into a Slew situation , difference being we had Blackburns pants down ! We won't get a penny for him if we release him in the summer.

Cheers for info on Moore

We won't get a penny for Brewster at any stage

What club would buy him after looking at his injury record and number of goals scored.

I hope he just leaves and we can all begin to forget one of the biggest mistakes we've ever made.

Why was he holding his hamstring if it was his back then is what the interviewer should’ve asked. Let’s hope his injury isn’t a bad one after suffering from over stretching for the goal in the first half.

Why would the Interviewer accuse wilder of lying ?

Campbell will have sciatica….. back pain that gives you shooting pains in back of your leg. It’s agony …. I should know I get that regularly I’m afraid!!! It’s caused by nerve pain…. Takes a week of pain killers & plenty of walks to ease. Not sure how a professional sportsman should treat it……if this is what he has.

Who said he’s lying? If I was the interviewer I’d ask pertinent questions just to help find out the situation, he clearly injured his hamstring stretching for the goal though in the first half, whether that’s anything to do with his back could well ring true. Anyway, why you jumped to conclusions? The interviewers never ask the right questions, that’s why I mentioned it.

Not saying you're wrong - but I find it crazy that a professional footballer would suffer from sciatica. Surely not with all the strength & conditioning, message and therapy they get.

I thought sciatica was mainly a result of inactivity / sitting too much, which puts pressure on the sciatic nerve and inflames it?

Maybe overactivity can distress it too. Happy to be educated if anyone knows their shit!

I thought somebody had hit him in the nuts when they were all celebrating
