I think Rak-Sayki was tactical.

We will be nursing a few for the next game.

Not taking anyone lightly but being at home is a good thing.

Sunderland have a difficult game vs West Brom too.

It’s here that the value of players like Shackleton is going to be felt. Bielsa likes him so he’s no mug.

No update on Moore or Brewster. No doubt both will be close for Tuesday but both absent again!

Seen it mentioned in bits around socials, but Souza was in real trouble with his groin. Couldn't run properly and couldn't kick it without wincing greatly and needing a moment afterwards. I watched just him for the remaining minutes of the game once I saw him go down. It's really not good. I've done my groin before, and it all came flooding back when I recognised how he was running stiff legged to try to not use the muscle. You don't usually do that if it's just a mild strain. I don't think he will be playing again this week as a minimum. Groins do not heal rapidly at all.

I'm guessing we will drop Hamer in alongside Peck. Peck to do the Vini role. Hamer the more playmaking, advancing CM. O'Hare in the 10 and Brooks on the LW?

All about opinions but I can’t for the life of me see Hamer doing the Souza role

It’s come a bit too early for me, but I can only see Tom Davies suitable for that position, followed by Shackleton as a replacement after an hour because Davies won’t last 90 minutes imo

Even so, will Hamer be fit for Tuesday? If he is, I’d hope he plays in his familiar role.
Campbell tight hammy, hopefully he makes it?

I’m also hoping Moore is back, but have a feeling we won’t see him for some time? A calf injury can be a drawn out event.

We’re getting down to the bare bones. Need this takeover sorted now to hopefully strengthen with some quality in Jan. it’s no good PA sanctioning a few numbers due to a lack of funds. They need to be players that add some quality to the squad and capable of pushing the team to challenge

Time for Davies to come in now definitely. Shackleton will get some minutes too I'd imagine. Hopefully Souza not serious if he has tweaked his groin.

We desperately need Moore back

Wow Chris really is in deep smit with Tom Davies isn’t he, never stops bigging him up in all the recent press conferences. Rodwell Mk 2 for me so far after 18 months of his 3 year contract
I would rather have CW praise our players than
Our opponents like Leeds & Boro

We will really see what this squad is made of at this point. I hope we don't risk players tomorrow night and we share the work load. Would rather see Shackleton, One, Davies and other players who haven't had much game time go out and show what they can contribute rather than risking players being out long term.

Don't like the sound of it but now might even be the time to play 5 at the back and see if Gilchrist can move into CB and Seriki on the right... We are light in CM so might need this with Peck in front to make it more solid.

I can't stand 5 at the back it just invites sides onto us. Weve had the best defence in the league and all we need to do to keep that intact is to bring Robbo in for Anel. Why change a winning formula as it will mean a new formation and new players, why not just go new playera?

Assuming rhe worst injury wise I'd go with
Cooper
Gilchrist Souttar Robbo Burrows
Rak Sayki Peck Hamer Brooks
Ohare
Campbell (One if Cambell unfit)

I reckon we put the entire squad out out on the pitch and hope the ref doesn't notice we have more than 11 men on the pitch.

He fell very awkwardly at the end of the first half and he wasn’t happy with the outside of his thigh when walking off by the looks of it… hopefully it’s just a whack and a bruise.

I agree but I also have a feeling that Souza contributes a lot to that defence and without him are we as solid?
