Happy with a point after that for a couple of reasons. One being that we were playing a lively team and with a scratch centre half pairing and secondly because the referee was so bad I'm surprised we didn't end up with 9 men. Absolute shocker of a performance and the bias from him really should be looked at. That wasn't a difficult game to referee despite the conditions but the amount of calls he got wrong, mostly to our disadvantage was ridiculous.

Could have been a classic that game but sadly that fucker ruined it, despite us showing some excellent character. I thought we battled tremendously well and that was a decent showing. Well done today lads, proud of you for keeping your heads.

Opinions are great !! I thought he refereed well. Yes he made mistakes, but which ones don’t and the ones he made were not obvious unless you watch on replay.

Worst ref I've seen so far this season. Books JRS for diving when he got nudged and later on gives a foul against One when Bartley did exactly the same as JRS. Go figure. And don't even get me started on the drop ball debacle. What the fuck was going on in his head there?

Rak Sayki gets his shirt pulled, goes to ground and lands on the ball. Handball. Peck pulls a West Brom players shirt, foul and a yellow card. O'Hare is running out of defence, gets his shirt pulled, yellow card and a free kick. Guess he just didn't like Rak Sayki 🙈

JRS went down when we may have scored if he kept going. He was throwing himself anticipating late contact and missed creating a good chance.
One made significant contact. Yes he got the drop ball wrong.

He needs sacking. Fuck all this "they're only human" bollocks, he very clearly wanted West brom to win that game, and reffed it accordingly. He's a cheat and a disgrace to his profession, and should never referee again.
I think maybe you wanted United to win and judged all the ref’s decisions in that light.

I wanted us to win, however the American commentator over here wasn't that bothered and he did say after about 30 minutes 'Well, that's 3 free kicks given against Sheffield United that the referee got wrong'.

Changed channels second half and listened to Rob Kozluk, ex professional footballer saying the same.

Yep he dived, just would like to see opposition players booked for the same. I can't remember when I last saw it.

Not obvious? How come the commentators called them out multiple times then? Imo the bias was extremely obvious, definitely can't just put it down to 'mistakes everyone makes'

Thought ref was shit but the drop ball, came off west brom player hit ref and then we got it , rules say its west broms ball, sorry. With jrs it could have been a pen and the shirt pull the ref couldnt see but lino should have given it

What about him not even booking any of their players when JRS dived. Their players make a big deal out of it for some bizarre reason despite JRS getting booked. It was like they wanted him red carded for it.

I think people are being a little harsh on the ref. Conditions were dire. Yes, he makes a few errors but I don't think he was particularly a homer. Take the Brewster one for example. It looked like he tripped over his own feet and yet the players and fans going mad at the ref. It's not helped by some of our players (Rak-Saki, Brewster) looking for the deck.

The drop ball incident was the most baffling one. We had the ball and it hits the ref, who then decides to give the ball to West Brom.

Boro player away this season - sorry to burst your conspiracy balloon
