Another thing revolution.
In my lifetime us blades have lost semi finals in both the f.a. cup and league Cup at the following .
Bramall lane v spurs
Wembley v so many
Annfield v Liverpool
Old Trafford v arsenal and Newcastle
If you throw in a play off final v wolves then the millennium stadium Cardiff.

3rd round draw on Monday evening on BBC2

Who do you want?

It's easy to want it over with so we can focus our limited squad on the league, but Hecky got us to Wembley and got us up in the same season, and it was lovleh

Spurs or Newcastle away would be my preference.

Wilder doesn't take cups seriously so someone like QPR away and the inevitable defeat.

Gainsborough Trinity so I can get a half and half scarf with a clear consciounce.

An away tie at a ground we've never visited/haven't visited in years, and isn't a million miles away. Like:
  • Kettering
  • Gainsborough
  • Accrington Stanley
  • Wimbledon
  • Tamworth
  • Harborough
I've always wanted to go to Accrington Stanley....
Used to drive by the ground nearly every day in the late 90s .....
It's got a romanticism about it .

Whoa, whoa, whoa! They've got to get past Harrogate Town first. I'd rather play them.😉
I'm a bit cheesed off with that. When I saw our match was being televised I thought I'd be able to go and see Hg v Gainsborough on Saturday - then I saw the Hg game had also been moved to Friday. TV strikes again!

Someone away who we haven’t played or haven’t played there in ages.

Guaranteed it’ll be a home tie against someone like Preston though.

Was going to say Trinity, don’t think G-Town would know what had hit it if TRAWWs came!

Been to some friendlies over the years but nothing competitive. Would sooner they drew Wednesday and dumped them out on their arses.

Last time we played QPR away in the cup we did them 3-0 and they were a division higher. I'd take that draw again, easy for me to get to, good boozers and isially a good atmosphere

Away at a ground I've not been to, ideally where the larger than normal allocation allows me to get a ticket. Bournemouth would be ideal but Southampton would also work

I’m at Acrington Stanley v Swindon. The way I now judge the quality of lower league teams is by asking,

“If we drew these in the cup, how would Coulibaly get on?”

Let’s see if he’d be Messi or Messy

He would get on just fine. This is probably his level, mid-ish league 2

Given I’ve now ticked this ground off the 92, we are guaranteed to draw them away in the 3rd round.

Another round, another match where the higher ranked team wins in extra time.

In previous years Kettering would have earned a fully deserved replay and got another money-spinning tie on TV.

Instead the professional team's superior fitness eventually wins out and their journey ends here.

Getting rid of replays has absolutely killed this competition.

Which is exactly what they wanted 🙁

VAR and this are just to remove the ‘luck’ lesser teams need to get a little bit of success
