Absolutely brilliant goal. What a moment for the lad. Tenacious to keep the ball and get past 2 defenders, and a wonderful finish, while falling to the ground as well. And in front of the kop. Hope he kicks on from here, but he's a fucking hero tonight regardless. That is a really, REALLY big win. Made up for him. If - and I know its still a big IF- he can stay fit, then the timing couldn’t be better considering the Blaster news. Must admit, when he came on I thought it was a bad substitution as I thought we needed some impetus in midfield and I thought he wasn’t quite ready (due to coming back from a long injury) to take the game to Sunderland. How wrong I was as he was involved in some good periods of play and scored a superb goal.

Made a big difference when he came on.
