surely there's one Man City fan....?Well if they do win I’m glad I live in Manchester as nobody under 35 here knows who they are, and there’s non of them to gloat either.

Don't let him carry a gun ...Crowd singing "Souza, knock him out" won't help. If we shout "shoot" he does...
I think it might have been Gen Studies A level (1975) where i got a question about ambrosia and answered (genuinely) something about canned rice puddingIf we win I'll join you in a tin.
Dem wur t'days , round me granddad's of a Satdi , in t'tin bath in front o t'fire. It'll need to be a bath for you both to fit.
Agree with the home win, but I say 6-0. Hat tricks for Moore and O’Hare. Owls will throw the kitchen sink at it, and Cooper will get to show how great a shot stopper he is.I'm going to wait to give my predictions until Roy's column as we know they will give a fair assessment of their team. The level headed comments should give us a window in how a sane minded football fan thinks......
Bollocks
7 - 0 Blades. Someone is getting a stuffing this season, might as well be our "sus scrofa domestics" pals
That will be their plan A. Bannan will be his usual angry nasty little bastard self so cool heads will be needed.Sending off is my prediction - probably Souza.
You have been to a Sheffield derby haven’t you?Thing is talking to other teams who have local derbies, the majority think this is a non event. So why is segregation on an astronomical level.
Excellent post. I just hope CW prepares them this way. I fear he’ll be asking for a rabid first 20 to “get the crowd going” and that could backfire badly.I really don't see where this tag about being great one minute and woeful the next.....they are barely average.
West Brom apart their other victories, (Plymouth, Portsmouth & Coventry) have come against teams in and around them.
They have played 5 of the current top 6, losing 4 of them scoring 5 whilst conceding 16. They also lost 3-0 away to Millwall who had not won a game at that point and drew with Bristol City, QPR and Swansea.
If any other team was coming to BDTBL with that record we would be expecting a comfortable victory. As others have said, play the game, not the occasion and we win comfortably, let them worry about us, we play our normal game.
Spookily, he appeared in my Facebook feed, yesterday,as a recommended friend! Weird! That will be their plan A. Bannan will be his usual angry nasty little bastard self so cool heads will be needed.
If your surname is Smith or Jones, Facebook thinks everyone in the world is your potential friend! lolSpookily, he appeared in my Facebook feed, yesterday,as a recommended friend! Weird!
Maybe the occasionals don’t feel it quite as intensely? From lots of the posts about hating the stress of derbies , it's surprising that the match sold out almost immediately - I can understand regular Blades feeling it's their solemn duty to put themselves through the fear & misery , but why should the occasionals ?
As a kid it was proper stomach churning, into 20s it'd be mandatory John Smiths breakfast to prep. Can't say I enjoyed the 90s mins. Now, I'm genuinely just looking at forward to the match and occasion (and I'm surrounded more by owls mates/fam now than ever before). Bring it on.From lots of the posts about hating the stress of derbies , it's surprising that the match sold out almost immediately - I can understand regular Blades feeling it's their solemn duty to put themselves through the fear & misery , but why should the occasionals ?
Agree, especially as there will be absolutely no need to get the crowd going either. Foot on the ball, calm heads, put them under some pressure first 20.Excellent post. I just hope CW prepares them this way. I fear he’ll be asking for a rabid first 20 to “get the crowd going” and that could backfire badly.
67 and 63 is a long time ago let them go its the time of no sustitutes or just one , things have changed, mans walked on the moon since thenTwice actually 67 and more recently when Blackwell fucked up oh and my first derby game early 60's 2-3

Not having enjoyed the benefits of a classical education , you see.

I suspect it's the regulars that feel the stress much more. From lots of the posts about hating the stress of derbies , it's surprising that the match sold out almost immediately - I can understand regular Blades feeling it's their solemn duty to put themselves through the fear & misery , but why should the occasionals ?
I think youve got that Watford at home score slightly wrong ..... not much in it (cough cough)......I've copied ucandomagic and drawn up how they've faired so far against the current league table. West Brom result aside, they're nothing to write home about.
