I'd try to think of another way of expressing how often you think of me - but that's a bit more worrying.

Anyway, run along and have your twelfth argument of the day elsewhere.
Really upsets you when you get proven wrong doesn't it ?
Proper liltle fanny

In all seriousness, your point would have some impact if I'd said "he was shit". I said I thought he was overrated and we'd struggle to get double figures for him. It's hardly the miscalculation of the century.

But we've established time and time again, you're just a bit "hard of thinking". And soft as shite, to boot.

Nice lad but one of the most overrated players in the history of Sheffield United. He has the reputation he does mainly because he's good on Football Manager, not because of his performances on the pitch.

You don’t get moves to prem teams regularly based on football manager, teams don’t scout and value players that way

You can have your own valuation on players all you want but reality is there have been hundreds of United players who never got the amount of moves to the top flight like Sander has simply because teams didn’t rate them highly enough to move for them

That’s not my own valuation but just reality

Overrated 😂😂😂😂 dear me. What was over rated about him? His pass high completion rate? His goals per game ratio nearly being as good as McBurnie despite playing in midfield and playing nearly 50 fewer games? Or are you just not a fan of good footballers and prefer the ones that run round aimlessly?

I think you actually need to be rated by most fans to be overrated. He’s constantly divided opinion.

Many do pal live in there Alco. Still, there’s plenty of space for it!!

Just reading, do we get a payment from this?
There are two theories floating around: either that the sale triggers all variables (approx £2.5m) or that we had a sell-on of 15-20% of profit which would get us somewhere in the region of £1.5-£2.5m depending on the sale price. Either way, he's just paid for (another) Michael Cooper.

Good buisness will help us throughout the either a player loan/buy potential. Aslong as we don't default on payments I'm happy. Always like sander just was frustrating. Had the ease of glinding past players like wasn't there. But some games went missing. However always though there was a good player in there and probably does deserve to play in prem for a few years.

Good business for Burnley. Only had him a short time and made a tidy profit.
Buying proven quality at / towards the end of their contracts seems like good business in general. Hopefully we’ve done that w Cooper and O’Hare.

Berge getting MoM for Fulham against Arsenal playing in DM role! - Apparently from the quote from Fulham
"Sitting at the base of our midfield, Berge was a major reason why it was such a frustrating afternoon for the Gunners, who struggled to create chances from open play."

Reading some other bits, he had a shaky start with them but has grown into the DM role left open by the sale of Palhinha to Bayern and after a few dodgy off the bench performances he has had a run of games where he is putting himself about and covering a lot of the pitch and putting in MoM performances, to get results. Not sure if it's because he has a few better players alongside of their system might suit him better but shame it didn't work out as well as it could here.

I’m certain he’ll be a better player for them for his experiences here. I don’t think he was the right player for us at that moment and he wasn’t helped by the incredibly high expectations that came with it. Long-term he did well with us and is clearly a very good player but it’s probably another example of our poor recruitment when in the PL (although arguably one of our better ones still).

The problem with players here is that they're expected to be all over the pitch and he simply didn't have the stamina, pace or acceleration. At Fulham, he protects the defence so only has that side to cover. Imagine what Vini would do with just that remit?!

I was thinking the exact same thing while watching him the other day.

United fans expect players to be everywhere. We’d prefer to see two box-to-box midfielders in the center who may lack a bit of skill but are fully committed, rather than two 'Rolls Royce' central midfielders like Berge.

Wilder often discusses this, but United fans know what they want from a player, and there isn’t much room for leniency.

Berge is and always has been a really good footballer. I’ve always found it difficult to understand why some Blades couldn’t see that when he was with us.
I often thought the biggest issue with him was confidence, or maybe personality. He was clearly a very talented player and had all the attributes to play at the top level - like he's now showing when surrounded by really good players. But when he's surrounded by lesser players and was looked upon to provide inspiration or lead the team, that wasn't really for him. He seemed to shy away from it. It meant he went missing in so many games.

See also Vini Souza, particularly when fielded on the right of a three.

Improved massivly for Norway last 6 months. MOM vs decent oppositions big part of Norway promoted to group A in euro-league. He's simply developed as a player as most players do. Been a joy to watch past 4 games for Norway. Loads of keypasses added to his game. Same with Fulham, much more confident and rarely looses the ball.
