Depends what we actually got from Burnley. I’d guess it’s perhaps 15% of any profit. So if we sold him for £15 million & Burnley are getting £20 million from Fulham - that’s circa £750k for us…..not much to get excited about.

Just not as influential on games as he should be at Premier League level. He was great in Championship promotion season. Good luck to the lad. He’s done well for himself.

Fulham play some good football and will suit Berge down to the ground in that respect, he’s no Paulinha though and that’s a huge gap to be filled by someone who is very good on the ball but not very good in the tackling department, that was where Paulinha really blossomed. Fulham are yet to plug that gap.

Completely different players. McTomminay is much better suited for a team struggling at the bottom. Berge has never been a muck and nettles player.

If Man Utd had signed him, it would have been a sign that the INEOS new broom, was broken, or never really existed.

Great move for him; quality player who should go from strength to strength after doing fantastic for Burnley. Great lad as well.

Hopefully the takeover means we can push on and ultimately hold on to players like him rather than lose them to the lower PL teams.
