Colours & colour blindness

Is it? I'm not disagreeing, just trying to understand. The colour temperature is very different which means even in monochrome they seem clearly distinguishable to me, and I'm struggling to find a R/G/B deficiency that makes them look similar.

Exactly the same for me. The shorts were both dark and the small screen couldn’t distinguish between the red and white stripes (looking ‘orange’) and the gold.

I ain't colour blind but it's not particularly difficult for me.

Should we cater to the 8% of men ( and even less of women) ? Must be annoying but a lot of the time you can recognise players by their body shape and movements anyway!

But yes, a simple change should be considered when it is just a matter of using a 3rd kit

Yes we should. Aside from the fact that it’s good to be in an inclusive society, 8% means that, on average, two players on the pitch will be colourblind, not to mention one ref / assistant / fourth official every other game.

The cost of ‘catering’ for them is literally just choosing the third kit, which is what it exists for.

Your assuming we even have the 3rd kit ready yet even just for the squad!

That isn't there for colour blindness reasons either. Money and the very rare occasion both our home and away kit colours clash.

Why is it such a big issue for you? As I said last night, wasn’t sure whether you were on a wind up, but now it’s clear you are.

You've clearly never had your child come home from school in tears because his classmates took piss out of him for colouring faces Blue instead of Pink.
Never had to label up his colouring pens with the name of the colour on each pen.

He's 9. I'll tell him he's not allowed to watch United until he learns each and every players vital statistics so he knows who's who

It's not a big issue for the wider public. It's surely only going to be a issue in games with kits with similar shirt patterns/layouts so it's a even smaller issue than the 8%.

Of course I have sympathy for those hit by it but I wouldn't expect the world to change for me because I am short sighted and put everything in a massive font!

Ha ha. Love responses like this. I'm going to make a post that i get called out on, can't really justify the point with any real rigour, but am going to say 'Im not replying anymore' as if it's some kind of definitive answer...
