Some good some bad

Look really good in transition after winning ball back.

Not so good building play.

Midfield is very lightweight.

Moore hasn’t won a single personal battle and brooks has been very poor

Moore has won some good defensive headers, not sure why people think he's been losing battles?!?

Either way it's been a good first half, nice seeing us play positive forward football, huge relief after last season.

Really promising signs and easy to get get excited about, can tell this is 6he first gale lots of stray passes from both sides, we look fit too which is a huge positive for the first game.

Very happy so far. Been constantly a threat, particularly on the break, while limiting them pretty well at the other end.

Really should have a 2nd though. O'Hare's run should have ended in a lay off to Hamer rather than trying to run through 3 men.

The front 4 look fantastic. Moore seems far more mobile than McBurnie, although I think at least part of that is down to the system we're playing, rather than being entirely due to the player.

Souza is dominating the midfield battle. Some excellent tackles to break things down and allow us to move forward quickly. One loose pass that I noticed, but in his defence I expected him to have support to his left, and I think he played it without looking as a result.

Burrows has been quiet, but he seems to have been told to sit deep and handle their man on the right. Gilchrist looks very comfortable on the right. You can immediately notice the Chelsea coaching in his ball control and general technique.

Hopefully we can punish them a little more 2nd half and extend the advantage - I'll feel a lot more comfortable if we do.

We looked competitive and quality at times. Need some game time to gel better. Deserved lead, more to come 2nd half. Not sure PNE are any good though. Still stick with my 3-0 predictions. Good stuff tbh.

I think brook has played good hamer been weak link in midfield up to now

Hamers had a stinker so far. Constantly giving the ball away. Brooks looks lively. Overall we’ve lacked quality and urgency in the final 3rd.

Agreed but might be me but there just needs something else missing ( could be shaking out the early season cobwebs ? Or me expecting to much ? )
Needs to be a bit slicker but ATM hamer and Moore (brilliant defensively) are a bit out of the game

Solid enough, a bit more composure in the final third. As with pre season, am thinking we could use Arblaster to help us manage possession a bit better and give the full backs time to get forward.

Positives
Impressive display regards control and composure Midfield very impressive.
Been a walk in the park for our defence, they've had very little to do.

Negatives
For all our dominance we haven't created many chances.
Hard to judge this properly becauseI think it's more a case of PNE being poor rather than us being being really good.
Match seems almost too easy.
I'm expecting PNE to come out fired up 2nd half, surely they can't be this bad.
Hope the United players dont think they've won and ease off their efforts inviting pressure.

Signs are good but just need that last little bit in the final third. I think if we make it 2 nil, nerves will settle and it'll be one way traffic.

Well done so far. Not had too much pressure to deal with.

But has your manager ever seen Hamer play before? He needs to be CM. Then he can run at players. His sudden speed leaves them standing. On the wing he can only go 1 way which is easier to read.He also loses the chances of playing 30 yard or more passes in the hole.

Some positive signs but need quality in the wings. Hamer isn't in his best position there and brooks isn't anywhere near this level

If his frame isn’t suited to the premier league better watch out for Barcelona and all as it’ll fit in Spain
