Souza off!?

I was thinking similar.

The Christmas video showed that he could be a popular figure amongst the players

The Luton game showed he can run a game against lower opposition when he’s motivated to do so.

A season playing at a lower level, feeling happy and winning games might just get him back on track if he is not sold.

If the report that him and wilder have sorted things out then he could be invaluable as someone older and stronger next to Blaster.
It’s like the 4th of July , Xmas day , Simulated sex Sunday in my head at the mo

Either I just saw Souza at Manchester airport or he's got a twin brother. (Didn't have my glasses on, so could be wrong but he was speaking Portuguese). Any rumours of him leaving?

I'll treat this rumour with a pinch of salt, first post, joined in may, dodgy username. Not saying you're a pig, but it's not beyond the realms of possibility.

He's got a release clause to join Wednesday for free. Rohl wants him to meet his family back in Germany before signing.

The clue could well be in the username.

Pig detection in progress....

Who will finish the highest this season Gimpo me old fruit?

Have we forgotten Souza was booed on to the pitch in his last couple of games. Very hard for a player to come back from that. He doesn't play really well early on things could get very toxic. He might make a player but if we get a good offer I would take it.
When he was withdrawn in the second half at Harrogate he went straight to the dressing room and I thought "you mardy git"

A few minutes later he came back and to get back to the dug out he had to walk in front of all the Blades on two sides of the ground.

He got a decent reception and acknowledged it well.

He'll be fine if he continues on that route.

Thanks for that.

I really can't understand why the princesses are wetting their beds over that though. As others have just said, he does have a point (tap in for someone there). Are some people in denial over how abjectly shit we were last season? Makes you wonder.

It’s not just his “I’m great but the team are holding me back” comments, it’s the fact that he’s also fundamentally shit. You can count his good games last season on one hand with fingers spare, and generally against poorer opposition.

He can’t pass, can’t find a player, can’t mark, blames his teammates and has the fighting spirit of a dead badger on the M1. He has one good tackle in him, and if he misses that he may as well leave the pitch as he’s given up. Players go passed him like he’s not there. He annoys his teammates and the fans alike.

Personally I don’t care who rates him, but I’ve the feeling if we weren’t so threadbare he’d be nowhere near the starting 11. We’re a stepping stone for him to greater things in his mind.

If some wants to pay for him I’d be saying off you go son, the doors that way, and in the likely event that no one does I’d be pushing him to get a loan somewhere and free up his wages.

Not a fan then ?

He may have needed a shit.

Errrrrr, when did we play poorer opposition than us last season.

I was shocked when my son reminded me of the starting lineup at the start of last season in the PL…

Even I would say the team was holding me back.

Might not be a popular view but I think Souza will be outstanding in the midfield next season.

His stand out game for me was v Luton away, who were one of the worst three in the league. He might be ok at this level, but for me he’s shown nothing to suggest he’s a good footballer yet.

I always find it fascinating when people are so binary in their hatred for a player.
